Van Heusen Men's Flex Flat Front Straight Fit Pant

I bought these pants for my son for a gift. He tried other brands but found these were the most relaxed comfortable fit. After wearing them the seam by the right pocket was unraveling I tried to hand stitch it but was difficult with pocket and inside lining to mend. We just wanted another one. We're not able to return because return policy expired from the purchase date.

These are nice pants. My husband enjoys wearing them. He likes them so much, these are the second pair I bought him!

My go-to pants for the last 5 years have been Levi Dockers Men's Classic Fit Signature Khaki Lux Cotton Stretch Pants. I have about 15 pair and I cycle through them four times before I dry clean them - once every three months. Then I noticed that Amazon is selling Van Heusen pants for 25% lower price, $36 vs $50 for the Dockers, in a large variety of sizes including my size which is 40W x 34L. The Van Heusen pants are Poly/Rayon/Spandex vs. Cotton for the Dockers so I wasn't sure how they would feel compared to the Dockers but, I thought I would give them a try. A few days later the pants arrived and the first thing I noticed is that to my surprise they came out of the plastic bag without a wrinkle. I also noticed that the interior of the pants are nicely finished with a red lining covering all the seams on the inside of the pants which you see typically in more expensive dress pants. Trying them on they fit perfectly around the waist and had some stretch to them. The button and clasp closure at the waist is nicely done and the pants have some extra belt loops compared to the Dockers. The material felt very light and comfortable compared to the stiffer heavier Dockers. The only downside thing I noticed is that for me they run a little long. So I returned them for one size shorter 40W x 32L which fit perfectly. So all in all these pants are not only a great value, but fit perfectly, are wrinkle resistant, and feel light and comfortable all day in the office. Time to retire the Dockers and replace them with Van Heusen.

Wanted more cotton in the product.

I bought two pair of these pants both 32x30. Silver and Slate Blue. Both of them have some sizing issues. The slate blue fit perfectly in the waist and legs but the length was a little long. They really need 3/4 - 1 inch taken off to fit properly. The material is very soft and stretchy.The silver pair were too tight in the waist and hips. I had to send them back. I did check to make sure the size was 32x30. The material is different compared to the slate blue. It's smoother, not quite as soft and has less stretch. I would have liked them equally though, had they fit.

It is one of my most common worn pants. There are few issues with it. The size in the waist is a little bit tight, but the stretch allows it to fit properly. The word stretch is used, but it is not as stretchable as you most likely desire. They can be worn casually or can be worn with a sports coat. Highly recommended as the color is hard to find these days.

Pants fit "ok" however; I intended the color to be black and it arrived as a peculiar gray/blue

Good quality and comfortable pants. Fits a little small so would recommend buying 1 size up.

Pants are comfortable and overall seem like good quality. The problem is the main button…it’s a button on the inside of the pants instead of a hook and loop like every other pair of dress pants I have ever purchased. They have a hook and loop for the secondary fastener, so completely baffled why they would use a button for the main fastener. It is so awkward trying to button up. Unfortunately this annoying design would prevent me from ever purchasing again. If it wasn’t for that I likely would have.

Perfect fit and the price was good. I'ts a good buy.
