Fantastic product
Amazing product. I crashed my bike and had some really nasty cuts that didn't heal. After a few weeks of pain and bleeding my sister suggested these. They worked a dream. Within a few days I was healing. Within week I was sorted. Just a few scars as reminders. Definitely recommend.

Like all Hydrocoloid you need to warm these to surface body temp first
They don't stick as well as compeed and aren't as malleable which makes adhesion a little hit and miss. With these style of bandages you need to warm them by either by holding it between your palms (if they are big enough - mine aren't), sitting on them (whilst still wrapped), putting them between your thighs or sticking them inside your bra (if you are female - this actually is faster than the other methods. Give it 10 mins and by that time the dressing is a lot more flexible and the adhesion improves significantly. However, I ended up putting an additional traditional dressing over the top to make sure it didn't peel off because of movement during sleep. Even with this the top portion detached but was held in place by the traditional dressing on top, thankfully this was not on the wound. If you take it off early you need to use water in order not to rip new fragile skin away - once you have an edge peeled, pour water directly in-between the skin and the dressing; be gentle and patient. Even with these flaws (compeed is far superior just doesn't come in these sizes), the healing generated is incredibly fast regardless and involves less scarring, you just need to be familiar with how these types of bandages work. Pity the instructions do not mention warming them in the instructions as I imagine the reviews here would be far better if they did.

Plaster Review
I am recovering from ankle surgery. I highly recommend these plasters. They are easy to apply. Removal after 3 days was easy just pull off the same way as hair growth, there was no painful pulling on any stitches and any scabs ready to come off came off without incident. The edges when sticking may appear not to stick properly but as long as you don't keep playing with the edges they stay in site, if worried apply some tape. I also suffer with allergies, including plasters and found I had no reaction to these, if in doubt keep a close eye for redness, heat or painful swelling and seek further medical attention. I would rate a good 9.5 / 10

They swell when wet
I bought these because I had to have a screw removed from my ankle on Monday and flew to Ibiza on Sunday so I couldn’t get the site wet. It was quite large compared to the small area I had to cover and it took a while to ‘stick’ to my ankle because of the movement. I didn’t dare fully submerge into water but when it got splashed with water it swelled and took on a strange consistency. When I changed the dressing it had moulded to my scar which was a bit cringe to remove but also least nothing could access my wound. I wouldn’t recommend to wear for total waterproof coverage but they were suitable short term to prevent germs and infection. I have lots left as they can last a couple of days if you don’t get them wet.
