Death comes to Pemberley
This was a good third installment in the Nevermore Bookshop series. We learn a bit more about the Nevermore Bookshop and the mystery about Mina. The murder mystery doesn't start until about 50%, which was a bit late for my preference. But it was still good and I didn't call the murderer this time! It was a fun surprise to be wrong. Also, I really appreciate how the author handle's Mina's advancing blindness and her struggles accepting it. It feels very real and based in reality. No one would go easy into being blind. My favorite guy is still Quoth, but Heathcliff is very nearly tied and Morrie is coming up fast. They're wonderful characters. And the fictional character who arrived is the perfect addition to the cast for the book, even if I was a bit skeptical about her decision at the end.Loads of fun and I'm excited for the next book!

I think this is the best of the series so far! 5+🌟
So much is going on in this book murder, mayhem, a new visitor to the book shop and a night in the locked room.Mina gets two poetic information she wasn't expecting.Mina and the guys get tickets to the Jane Austen weekend but what is supposed to be relaxing with period clothing and activities but turns into murder and a jewel heist. It takes Mina, Heathcliff, Morrie and Quoth to solve the crimes.WTH cliffhanger!I would highly recommend this book and series.I voluntarily reviewed this ARC book.

Outstanding
Mina and the boys explore the time traveling bedroom and hear a fearsome prophecy about her. Then, Lydia Barrett appears shortly before they are invited to a Jane Austen extravaganza. When one of the speakers is killed, they try to solve his murder while Mina obsesses about her impending blindness, Heathcliff just broods, Morrie tries to stay ahead of Lydia, and Quoth minds the shop. This is an outstanding story with plenty of laughs, tragedy, thrills, and chills (and some sizzle too).

Perfect Mix of mystery and personal growth
Everything about this book is perfect. The guys are all to fall in love with, Mina is a wonderful heroine and all the side characters are vivid and real. On top of that the book has a really great balance between emotional scenes where the characters grow and open up and an action packed mystery with a little danger. This series is without a doubt one of the best series I've ever read.

Third installment of the Nevermore Book Store
As a disclaimer: I really enjoy this series. This is the 3rd installment of the Nevermore Book Store series. While it is possible to read this book as a stand-alone, I would very much encourage you to read the books in order. This has great humor, a well-thought-out murder mystery and hot RH romance. Throw in fans of Jane Austen vs The Bronte sisters, and you have an extraordinary installment of Nevermore Book Store series.

4.5 I Demand Nothing Less Stars
Pride and Premeditation is the third book in the Nevermore Bookshop Mysteries series by Steffani Holmes. All the swoons! We get to delve so much deeper into the relationship building between these four characters, within this installment. Declarations of love, rooting around in broody and dark men’s emotions, connecting on a soululer (made-up word, deal with it) level.I enjoyed this book so much more than the previous two works. For one, we’re finally given a small glimpse into the hidden powers of the shop. Albeit a very short glimpse, leading to vastly more queries and worrisome discoveries. For two, a new literary characters dumped out of their fictional world onto Nevermore’s floor. Kind of an annoying character, given I would like to hit her nearly every time she opens her whiny mouth. For three, bomb drop about daddio. Very little revealed about his past beyond what we already knew about the character we find out he is...Her mum. Ughgggfh. I get that Mina is trying to be reasonable and adult and stuff. But, her mother doesn’t really come across as mature? Or in any league near reasonable. Honestly, the more she’s on the page the more I dislike her. Maybe she’s supposed to be kitschy? But, there’s not an ounce of her character that relieves the weight of all of her bad qualities. Mina could probably apply for sainthood having dealt with and been raised by this woman.I really enjoyed the murder mystery aspect this time around. It was becoming overhanded in the other two books. Which almost solely focused on this aspect of the plot. It was a relief to get in some background and character growth before we reached this portion of the tale, this time around. And the twists towards discovering this culprit was extremely more interesting. What with all of the regency flair and new characters introduced.

“Vainly I had sought to borrow from my books surcease of sorrow”
**Cliffhanger Warning** Holy cats! I love this story! I think this series has been wonderful, and this is my favorite book so far. This is another murder mystery, of course, but the over-all story arc is getting better. This book has so many things going on, so I’m thrilled: Mina’s eyes are deteriorating faster than she thought they would (Will she ever put on her glasses?), the group has a sleep-over in the time-travelling room, Mina learns her father's identity, a new fictional character comes to life, and there’s a Jane Austen weekend event.I especially enjoy how the bookshop relationships are becoming more romantic. There are some sizzling hot sexy times, as well as some sweet, heart-warming scenes."The whole village has gone Austen-mad." I absolutely love how the world of Jane Austen's books have been super-imposed on the fictional town of Argleton. It's also interesting how many people and characters are "Janeites." This book had me researching more than just classic literature. That is one of my favorite things about this series. There are so many wacky, real-life things in the mix.* Spoiler(ish) Section *Unfortunately, the mystery of the murderer was not as hard to solve as the one in Of Mice and Murder. I figured it out when the Jane Austen Experience began. However, I didn't figure out who the jewel thief was before the reveal, so I'm still impressed by the mysteries.
