Stain Stripper, Wood Brightener, Booster, Thickening Gel Combo Pack

After prepping my deck I started laying down Superdeck water born semi-transparent stain. I soon realized I hated the stuff. It looked more like paint than stain. I decided to strip it off. So I ordered this product based on reviews. The panels stained were vertical skirting so I used the thickener and booster. It was a hot dry day so I found myself re-applying the product after about 10 minutes. I kept it moist as best I could with a hose and nozzle set to mist mode. After 3 applications and a total of about 30 minutes I started blasting with the power washer. It came off easily and I'd say I got 99.9% of it off on the first go round. After everything dried I noticed a few real small patches where the old stain was still there. Probably more a factor of my lack of diligence with the power washer than this product.

Originally I was disappointed with the results of the product and posted a less than stellar review. However the company reached out and explained that Behr semi transparent stain is actually a solid stain which the product wouldnt work on. However I had ordered a second bag and reapplied a second coat and was surprised that the product removed about 80% of the stain. This saved me hours of sanding. Happy with the results.

I take care of decks on 3 houses. 2 of them are on the Oregon coast where mildew really does a number on decks. This product works really well even on the worst dirtyest decks. And although it is expensive, its all concentrated so a little bit does a lot of cleaning, the cost becomes pretty reasonable. Its actually cheaper than what I was buying before.

Restored a 25 year old back porch deck. This product is fabulous. Must follow steps to the letter for best results. I let the stripper solution set on moistened deck boards for 30 minutes which created a sludge of dirt and 25 years of staining. Used pressure washer to remove the sludge being careful to not fuzz boards. Wear a good quality mask as the particles from pump up sprayer will irritate throat and eye protection.

Best deck cleaner and brighter I’ve used. One pass on a tough old stain that was to be removed. Worth the money. Saved time.

The stripper had to be felt on for a hour in the shade, very [poor stain removal, I had to go to Menards for additional stripper and I had to use 2 applications and then only about half of the stain was removed. I followed the directions to a T and had a professional help me, very dissaponited in the product, I would notably again

This product was a total bust. We had one small coat to take off our deck, and after 3 coats, scrubbing, and power washing there is still paint spots left. Not worth the money at all.
