Oneiric Foods - Extra Virgin Olive Oil 500ml - Greek, P.G.I, Low Acidity, High Phenolic EVOO

I'm not one to write reviews. In fact, I don't think I've ever written a review for anything. However, after trying this olive oil, I felt compelled to.Over the years, I've developed quite a bit of knowledge around olive oils and as a result, I tend to pick Greek olive oil made from the koroneiki olive variety. The reason being that extra virgin olive oil produced from koroneiki olive produces a very high quality olive oil, both in taste and in health benefits due to the high phenolic content. Actually, I was happy to see that on the back of the label, there was an actual EU health claim related to the high phenolic content. As far as I know, only oils with a certain concentration of phenols higher than the specific limit set by the EU can make this claim.As for the taste, it's among the best I've tasted. I has a great balance and harmony of flavours and really does enhance dishes. It has that kick to the back of the throat which you always look out for in an olive oil as it is indicator of freshness and high quality content.Frying with it wasn't an issue either. It didn't break down as I've seen in other oils and as it was heated, let off a wonderful deep and fragrant aroma.In summary, make no mistake, this is a very high quality olive oil. From someone that has spent a decent amount of money on olive oils, at this price point, there's really very little competition which is why I intend to always have a bottle stocked in my kitchen. Now all I need is for it to be available on Subscribe & Save.

Great product would buy again

A small price to pay...I suffer from headaches as well as general aches and pains. I was told that phenols found in certain extra virgin olive oils contain anti-inflammatory properties so I thought I'd give this olive oil a try. If you look at most extra virgin olive oils, none of them actually have the EU stamp for high phenolic content (which is where the health benefits come from) so when I saw this one I thought I'd give it a try. For the last couple of weeks or so, I've routinely been taking a shot in the morning before breakfast and again just before I go to bed. I do have to say that during this time, my headaches are so much better and my aches and pains have very noticeably subsided to the point where I no longer rely on traditional anti-inflammatories. It's incredible and an absolute godsend. A small price to pay for my positive wellbeing.I also love it salads and it turns boring boiled veg dishes into something I look forward too. Just add the oil with a bit of lemon, salt and pepper. I can't recommend it enough.

I have tried many olive oils in my time but the rich flavour and aroma of this one is, by far, the best I have had.Great packaging in an attractive bottle bolsters this products appeal.

Deep and full of flavour with a nice peppery kick - exactly how fresh, healthy olive oil should taste. Perfect for use on salads and for dipping. I’m extremely happy with my purchase and I will be ordering the 5l can in future. I wholeheartedly recommend this product.

This is my first olive oil which I tried and I totally loved it.. worth every penny..so tasty..u will not find any raw flavor in your mouth..A bit costly as compared to supermarkets one, but u will love it for sure..

Absolutely hands down the most delicious olive oil - no bitter after taste, smooth and delivered quickly. Such good quality oil.
