Avoid. Not as described.
Ok so this isnt the cheapest product and not the most expensive. However I read alot of reviews saying it was good. After buying it for my sons birthday and for the first time using it tonight with nice clear skys we have realised that we should of brought from elsewhere. Assembly was easy however the telescope is very cheaply made. When using it , it's nothing like description on what you can see. We have just looked at the moon and all you can see is a round circle in the sky. We used the different zooms and you cant see anything extra compared to looking in the sky with the naked eye. There is no detail like other reviews or description and photos shown. I will probally return and buy elsewhere for either a little bit more money or go for a brand that's known

A Great Gift for Kids
it’s a great gift for kids to explore universal. We only used it once as the bad weather recently but my son and I had a great time. He was so excited when he watched the moon and stars so clear. He was trying to catch up flowing clouds. He couldn’t stop asking me questions, just like Mr Why. This telescope is exactly as described so I can’t say more. Will recommend.

Brilliant Scope
Due to our Grandsons interest in the moon and stars we bought this as an additional Xmas present. What a joy to see his face when he opened this up. He has got photos of the moon with tge assistance of his dad. And he is mad about getting it out to view at night. Brilliant and interesting piece and do good for a basic scope.

Affordable and easy to use.
Good quality telescope. Excellent for beginners ( my 9 years old put it together by himself). Great for birds watching and can be used for star watching ( shame it's hard to spot amny in the big city ) instruction is pretty simple and easy to follow . Comes with two different enlargement monoculars so can offer you a range of close ups.If you are looking for starting your learning adventure in sky than it's great item for you. You probably zan purchase bigger close up monocukars elsewhere if you need better close up but I think its more than enough to watch star fall on our holidays in August .

Nice and strong design, great for beginners and kids. Compacts well.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This has everything you need for a beginner. The whole thing compacts very well so great if you want to take ot somewhere where there is less light pollution in the air.It took about 2 mins to setup and each lens has a cap or a container for the changeable ones. It is a very simple and easy to use one and is great for kids. The tripod is a little low so it is best to be used on a table or bent down low.Very happy with the quality. It seems pretty strong and the thing pivots and turns easily and tightened where necessary

Impressive telescope
I've always had interest in astronomy and there's massive difference between looking through binoculars and telescopes.Arrived well packaged and Instructions are well explained make it easy to assemble. Good material, not heavy but quite solid. Attachable phone it just perfect to capture an amazing view. This telescope definitely develops interests slowly if you spend some quality time with it.This telescope is a gem, packed full of great features for both amateurs and pros.Since getting it, my interests in astronomy has increased. One criticism is that being light + easy for carriage also means it easily moves on the table top tripod too easily and I lost what I was looking at. I use it on non-slip mat and no issues observed.I love it and looking forward to explore it more during clear sky. Recommended.

Lightweight
I read lots and lots of reviews before choosing this for my birthday. I was aware it takes a lot of getting used to so have patiently taken my time, slowly adjusting the focus. I can see stars quite clear, but was quite disappointed that when I pointed it at the moon, it just looked like a bright circle, no definition on it at all. Haven't tried to look at a planet yet as I'm new to this so haven't located one yet so don't know if the definition would be better.Unless I'm doing something wrong, it's a shame it's not as clear as I'd hoped, maybe I just need more practice.

Useless telescope, expensive ornament
Bought for my daughter's birthday. It has no decent magnification for looking at objects in the night sky. Even the moon is better observed through the £5 binoculars I bought her from the local wetlands centre. To compound the issue, the tripod is so cheap that it will change the angle of the telescope if you so much as think about touching the focus wheel.Terrestrial objects are better observed with the previously mentioned £5 binoculars too. By the time you focus the telescope while combating the tripod that fails at its one job, you will be suffering eyestrain and backache. Seriously, this product was not designed by an astronomer by opticians and chiropractor to keep them in business.Avoid. Go buy a cheap pair of binoculars for your child instead. They'll get more use out of them and you'll save yourself a lot of money.
