Quality Replacement Battery...Only Time Will Tell It's Value
Fits perfectly into my Dremel 800 which is at least 20 years old. Now I have a tool that works like new. I did notice, as others have noted, that the charger was very warm when charging. I don't know if that is because the charger was built for a 1Ah battery. Either way, it charged quickly and turned off when it was fully charged. I tested the battery in the Dremel 800 and it fit perfectly and worked perfectly. The only thing I can't attest to is how long it will last, considering that the original battery that came with my 800 lasted 20 years, I would be happy if this unit will power my Dremel for half that time.

Great So Far!
After many years of use, my original Dremel 855 Battery died. I thought I would give this one a try since it was 1/3 the price of a factory Dremel battery. It arrived well packed in a box with foam wrapped around the battery. I put it in my Dremel 856 Charger and it charged with no problem (the light is out on my charger in the photo because when the charge is complete, the light goes out). I compared the mold from the original Dremel battery to this one and they appear to be exactly the same. I put the battery in my Dremel flashlight ant the fit was perfect. I next put the battery in my Dremel 800 Rotary Tool and all there power light lit up. Again, the fit was excellent. The tool ran just as strong as the original Dremel Battery. We'll see how it holds up in long term use. If you do not see an edit to this post, then it is still running fine. If I edit the post it will only be if there was a problem with the battery...

Make sure you have the right charger instructions...
I recharged this battery on my Dremel charger, and the charger light did not come on. At first I thought the battery was incompatible with my charger because typical chargers blink while charging and show solid when fully charged. After I did some Google searching for my specific charger I learned that my charger shows solid charger light on while charging and no light on when fully charged. Weird. I gave the seller a hard time for awhile until I learned this was user error. But I did feel the seller wasn't good at english because as a result of my first clear explanations of the issue, he asked me yet again what the issue was. In the future I will pay a few extra bucks for items where I know they comprende without going through hoops.

did not work for intended use
This battery got very hot with just 1 to 3 minutes of use in my Dremel brand rotary hand tool. It melted the the housing near where the contacts of the battery meet the tools contact plates. It was not reusable due to the damage it caused. I was holding the tool with an ungloved hand and did not notice the unit overheating until the damage was done. I had purchased the battery as a replacement for the original battery. About three months after receiving the replacement battery, I was working on a project at home. This was the first use with the replacement battery. The unit melted as described above. Knowing i would still need the Dremel in the upcoming days, we decided to get another battery, thinking the first may be just a fluke defect. The second battery arrived and the whole scenario just repeated itself.

Not 3000mah or 3.0 AH as advertised!!
Well the powers that be here deleted my thorough review with tons of photos. They don't want you to know the truth. This battery pack that comes super sealed so you can't see the inside, it does not have 3000mah or 3.0ah cells.

Battery began smoking and getting hot.
Smoking and became extremely hot to the point that plastic began to melt... Dangerous IMO.

Seems Good Enough That I'd Buy It Again
It is pricey, but so are most rechargeable batteries. This is an "after market" battery for a model of Dremel tool for which there does not appear to be a Dremel brand one made anymore. In my non-scientific person's judgement it seems as though it is a good, strong battery. I cannot evaluate its lifespan yet. At present, I would buy another one.

Works great
The Dremel is used mainly to trim toenails and fingernails. On the old battery, the Dremel could barely make it through 10 nails. With the new battery, it did double that and the battery indicator still shows a full charge. Awesome.
