Book 2 does not disappoint.
Hunter is the 3rd son of clan MacLaud and he is known as a ladies man. Patience is the second daughter of the MacInnes clan and she is a warrior. When her father sends her to clan MacLaud to end a dispute she soon realizes that it was a trap. To thwart his brother Greer’s plan to start a clan war, Hunter secretly proposes to Patience to join the two clans. However, that may not be enough, this is an action packed story with betrayal, deception, mystery, abduction, ghost warriors, secrets, and unexpected love. Can’t wait to read the next one.

ENTHRALLING SPELLBINDING HIGHLANDER ROMANCE!!
I have a list of authors which I consider my treasures, and this author, Donna Fletcher, is on this list. What this means is that if an author is on this list I auto buy the releases as soon as they become available. They are added to my keeper read and reread shelf. Donna Fletcher is one of the best authors a reader will have the honor of reading, in my opinion. Her past releases includes stand alone titles, duos, and trilogies, of which I have read. Her latest release of Highlander’s Rebellious Love, book 2 of the Macinnes Sister’s Trilogy, following The Highlander’s Stolen Heart, doesn’t in any way disappoint and will join the others on my keeper shelf. The trilogy tells the story of three sisters, Emma, Patience, and Heather, who are very close and entwined with each other’s lives. The first book, The Highlander’s Stolen Heart tells Emma’s story. This release of Highlander’s Rebellious Love tells Patience’s story.Patience, whose personality is defined by anything other than her name, is a strong minded confident lady who has been trained all her life as a warrior and the future leader of the clan. Instead of possessing skills for cooking, sewing, or running the inside of a keep, she is highly skilled and talented with various weapons and is considered the leader of the clan warriors. Whenever problems or disputes arise among the clan or surrounding clans, it is Patience who travels to resolve the problem. With one sister missing and anxious to find her, marriage and love or interest in the opposite sex is the last thing on her mind, and any problems detracting her search must be handled quickly. It is while investigating such a dispute between two neighboring clans that Patience meets Hunter, a third son and brother of the evil power hungry, will do anything to turn the tides to his favor, laird of the McLaud clan. The dispute over land stemming from the McLaud clan is very large well planned and possibly could turn into a blood spilling war. Hunter, although a smooth talking, very handsome, hunk of a highlander ladies man, he is still a strong, powerful, and feared highland warrior. Within minutes of their meeting he presents Patience with his solution to the problem between the clans, marriage to this lady warrior. As it is discovered a forced marriage seems the only possible solution, although Patience demands her specific stipulations be met, and not many warriors would be willing to meet her demands. This book is filled with unexpected hot steamy passion between Patience and Hunter, disagreements, mystery, laughter, tenderness, strength, and eventually trust beyond question. I highly recommend this book and anything else written by Donna Fletcher. This installment can be read as a stand-alone but I would recommend reading The Highlander’s Stolen Heart first as characters and mysteries continue from the first into the second book. This is yet another book that has found a home on my keeper shelf. I can’t wait for Heather’s story and the third book in the trilogy!!!!

Better than the first. But just.
Patience makes a much better heroine than Emma. Even Hunter is better than Rogan. Because you know and expect Hunter to take the second place behind Patience, who is the alpha here. A bit too alpha, like the famous Amazons, but still better than Emma whose stubbornness had no rhyme or reason. Patience is a warrior par excellence, so much so that throughout the book, every character pays homage to her skills. Over and over again. It's ridiculous, but I didn't expect much from the author after reading the last book. She is so complete in herself, in fact, that she needs a man solely for sex. She makes all the right decisions, does all the work, fights all the fights, wins all the wars, is utterly fearless, and also beautiful, slim, soft skinned, with lovely hair and enchanting smile. A bit antithetical, but I believe the author thrives on the ridiculous. She is so intent on making the three sisters superior to everyone around that she forgets to concentrate on writing. There are absolutely no details in either of the books. Patience is a warrior, and on a horse for almost the entire book, but we don't know what kind, gender, or even the name. They travel for months without encountering sea, or any known city. There are no names for the countless woods they come across, fishes turn up for meals almost magically with no mention of a stream or river nearby. A stream is mentioned only because the lead pair had to get naked and our Amazon has to get a taste of what her manwife can do to her. Plaids are mentioned, because it's Scotland, but no mention of any color. The Dark Dragon holds a lot of land, but his neighbors don't really know about it. And because it's Scotland, every clan name begins with Mc, but no other detail is ever provided. And trust me, all this and still it is better than the first one. The sisters are so close to each other, the husbands are reduced to bystanders in their own marriages, with pregnant women not sharing the news of their pregnancy with the husband because they want to travel up and down the country whenever they want for the missing sister. I really think the sisters should've married each other and kept a few men as sex slaves, because they are nymphos, the both of them. It's amazing how many pages this author can fill with her juvenile writing. Now it's like a train wreck for me...I just can't help but read this to the finish. Because while the writing is ridiculous, the plot is good. I wish a better author had handled this plot.

Good reas
Its a very good story. She is an amazing writer but too much sexual scene. Its was boring after a while and I had to skip it Even when the heroin is badly hurt just saved from raping she was thinking about sex. Otherwise it was very interesting read. Good story

Disapointed
I really like this author's. Books but this one no there they are in a dangerous situation and all he talks about is sex does not matter about anything else does he attempt to help matters no all he thinks about and talks about are his needs total let down
