This is storytelling at its best!
Emmy was born a dweller and died a dweller. Then Willa brought her back to life.... as a god.Cyrus was born out of the energy of Topia itself tasked with providing balance, being The Neutral. He has long since become a cold, uncaring, judgemental immortal. Then he met Willa, the storm meant to sweep over the land and its people, leaving nothing untouched. His life changed once again when he met her sister, Emmy. Willa might be a force of nature but Emmy turned his entire life upside down. She challenged him, fought with him, confused him, and made him feel ways he'd never felt before. These two are a perfect match. Along with Willa and her Abcurses, they will fight for the survival of Topia and one another. This is the story of the Sacred A****** and his little bug. The POV of Emmy and Cyrus is a much-appreciated novella explaining Emmy's new status and providing a glimpse into their relationship. The initial resistance to their mutual attraction, the argumentative foreplay, the sexual tension, and the meeting of their minds (intelligence) and bodies makes for an entertaining addition to the COG series. There are little teasers for the final book thrown in and Willa and her Abcurses and their hostess Pica all contribute to the book as well. This RH series is one of my favorites. The story is fantastic, the characters are amazing but it sets itself apart from others with its humor. That continues with this book. Emmy's brand of funny isn't like Willa's. Willa's unpredictable chaotic predicaments produce moments of hilarity. Emmy uses her intelligence to do the same. It's easy to see why their love for one another is so strong. They both have strength, beauty, intelligence, are caring and funny. Now they both have someone(s) to give their heart to. This is storytelling at its best!

OMG Fertility Goddess!
*SPOILERS*So, of course, this book is just as amazing as the rest of the series. I loved the dual POVs and the intense chemistry. Getting into Emmy and Cyrus’ thoughts brought revelation and depth to the rest of the series. I finally got Emmy’s backstory and it explained so much about her drive to be the best dweller ever. It was also pretty hilarious to see the “why” behind Cyrus’ reactions. Their banter was priceless. I loved the slightly obsessed and possessive Cyrus lose his heart and head over the “bug”. The influx of new emotions that he couldn’t explain or understand made for a fun read. By the way, Willa is officially the best Creator ever. I loved discovering Emmy’s power. Then why 4 stars and not 5? Well, I didn’t like that they never exchanged “I love you” which makes me feel really cheesy, but it bothered me. Also, I felt Cyrus never addressed his comment to Emmy about “as long as you need protection”. Emmy felt he had placed an end date to their relationship even though we know from Cyrus’ internal monologue that he has not intention of ending the relationship. I felt those two things knocked this book from a 5 to a 4 star. Maybe, these two issues will be resolved in the final book. I really hope so cause I love me some Neutral and Fertility romance, and that wrap up to their relationship left me a little unsatisfied. It’s still an amazing addition to this series, and a must read since it segues into the next book.

A fun short story but it has its issues
I actually liked Neutral more than I like the main series. The reason is that Emmy is much more like me, personality wise, than Willa. Willa is a natural disaster and while fun to be around (from a safe distance of course - like, you know, being in a different world from her!), she can be quite annoying and tiresome. I've come across some scatterbrained heroines that I like a lot before (case in point Charley Davidson) Willa tends to be really dense and sometimes even outright stupid. Don't get me wrong, I like her, I just need some time away from her. And that's why I'll never binge read the entire series in one sitting.Emmy is the total opposite and despite the drama and insta-love it was simply relaxing to see things from her perspective. It was peaceful. And the change is so refreshing that I wasn't really bothered by Cyrus creepy -rapey behaviour. Okay not precisely not bothered more like not bothered enough to let it ruin my enjoyment of the book.

Amazing Surprise
What a surprise by author Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington, with “Neutral” coming out. This story is about two of the supporting characters from Curse of the Gods series, Willa’s sister/best friend Emmy and Cyrus the Neutral god. These two characters are my favorite supporting character and I just love reading their story. You get to understand some of their lives in the main story but so much more is explained and answers of questions I had as a reader were received. Emmy is every woman’s dream of how a best friend and really sister would be. Loyal, dedicated, caring, and will kick anyone in the rear for you. Cyrus is evolving in the last few books and you start to understand why in “Neutral”. I loved getting to know him more. He is becoming my favorite overall character in the series. Don’t miss this novella in the series. I highly recommend you read books 1-4 of the Curse of the Gods series prior to reading novellas 4.5 or you will be lost.

❤️ Love that we got Emmy and Cyrus's story!! ❤️
I will be honest, I waited to finish the Curse of the Gods series until Neutral and Pain were on audio, since I don't get to read a lot and I can get through books faster by listening with my commute to and from work. I am so glad I did, even though it was torture.I loved Emmy from the beginning and Cyrus was the character people couldn't help but love even if he was dbag most of the time haha. I loved seeing Emmy figure out her powers, finally getting to explore her feelings with Cyrus, and getting to see her perspective on everything in Topia and in regards to the war between the creator and Willa. I love her snark and her compassion and loved what goddess she became.I highly recommend reading this book, even if its a novella and not one of the main 5 books. It helps paint a more complete picture and I love Emmy and Cyrus together. So much heat but love there. I am going to miss these characters so much ❤️

A surprise release that fans of this series will love
This is a surprise release for us readers and fans of this series. There I was expecting Pain, the fifth and final book in the series to be released and instead the authors gift us with this awesome novella of Emmy & Cyrus.I've been interested in Cyrus since he was first introduced to Wills and us. In Strength we got to see a new side to him, and to Emmy as well, and I was even more intrigued. It was fun and informative to be in both of their heads in this novella. I loved seeing how Emmy really feels about Willa and why she is so focused on being a good Dweller as seeing her from Willa's POV I've sometimes thought she was a bit stuck up so I really loved getting to know her better.I think that as well as this bring a gift for us readers, it's also an important part of the series as what's happened to Emmy at the end of Strength and in this novella is a key part of Willa's story, however to discover what that is you need to read this book. I'm really looking forward Pain, however I'm also glad I got to read Neutral. Five stars from me.

Perfect side story
I loved this insight into Emmy and Cyrus. The authors kept the same pace and style as the main books whilst sharing Emmy and Cyrus’s story, be sure there is more to come from these two.Being let into Cyrus’s thought process was fab as I’ve been liking his character for a while now. I loved this (sorry for the cliche) journey we share with him. I love how it totally took him by surprise. This novella is a perfect fit into the series and I would encourage everyone to read it. Soooo eager for the last book!!

Wow wow wow, must read!!
I don't even know where to start on these books! Honestly they get better every time! I found this book by accident as I had not realised the book was released! As soon as I seen it I cancelled all plans for the weekend, tucked myself under my blanket and fell into the world of the gods. This is my fav series by far, I have reread the books so much I know which pages to skip to straight away to give me a quick pick me up. I even have my husband reading them who btw is loving them 😂😂😍

More like book 4.5 but with different characters
You kinda have to read this book inbetween book 4 and 5 of Curse of the Gods. The change in main character was quite annoying at the beginning, but these characters start to grow on you during the book.I did not like Emmy at the beginning of the Curse of the Gods, she was to obedient. During the series we see a different side to her, but during this book she really shines. You can't even help not feeling neutral about Neutral.
