Works perfectly when you use it for the purpose it was designed for.Some reviewers have been a little confused by this copper adapter. Perhaps I can help. The large end of this fitting goes INSIDE a 1 inch copper fitting. The smaller diameter is designed for 3/4 inch copper tubing to go inside this part.This part is useful if you are trying to adapt one end of a 1 inch fitting to accommodate 3/4 inch pipe. This design will allow you to do this in the minimum space. A traditional 1x3/4 reducer would require a short piece of 1" copper, making the entire assembly longer. With this part, you can adapt a 1 inch fitting down to a 3/4 inch pipe size without using any 1 inch copper tubing at all.

Not what you might expect from the description.
I thought this was a coupling reducer but it wasn't. The 3/4 side will slip over a 3/4 pipe, however the 1 inch side is sized like 1 inch tubing and will slip INTO a 1 inch coupling. It is not a 1" to 3/4" pipe adapter. The description was not clear to me, a non-plumber.

The fitting is slightly larger diameter than the copper pipe, so it does not fit snugly on it, it wobbles. I would return it, but I missed the return deadline.
