New Comprehensive Shilo Pocket Dictionary

As any concise dictionary, the number of word in this dictionary is limited. However, it has a list of words that can be used as a guide for your studies, e.g., kitchen appliances, sports, clothing, bedroom, house, etc. Moreover, there is another list of very useful abbreviations. You will find it very useful.It's a good pocket dictionary. It's worth the $5 or so you pay for it.I'd definitively recommend to anyone studying Hebrew: beginners, intermediate and advanced students.

very useful for school kids. easy to use it

This is a very nice print of a condensed Hebrew English dictionary. It seems to me that it must have less words then the Ben Yehudah pocket dictionart simply because the print is so much larger but they both claim over 30,000 words and so maybe they are close in that respect. At any rate I really like the clear and legible print in the Hebrew English side of the dictionary but was a bit surprised to find a lesser quality print on the English Hebrew side. I still highly recommend unless you are wanting it primarily for the English to Hebrew.

font is very small, hard for my old eyes to read. Lots of words that I would like to see are not there - two examples: There is no word for "Me", and "Shachar" is not there for (earnest/dilgent) "Search."

Amazing! Modern and old time Hebrew. Its the type of thing you need in your locker its about 2" thick and 5*7 but it clear!

I started self-learning hebrew less than 5 months ago and I need a dictionary when I come to learn nouns. I will not buy something that I cannot look into the detail of the book. Hebrew books is difficult to source in my country. So I will not buy book that I cannot view it in detail and expensive. This shilo pocket pocket dictionary fulfilled my requirement and I find it useful. I manage to check on words from the dictionary.

A more clean (still has some not ok words but just black marker them out) dictionary without all the new bad words every dictionary has...

A very good pocket dictionary, in fact more than pocket size, I bought it at the same time as the Oxford Dictionary, it would have been enough on its own (for the moment, as I am beginning to learn the language).
