This is a very comprehensive description of Frank Woolworth and his development of the 5&10 stores that dotted America for over a century. The book contains many photographs and does a good job of describing the different developmental stages that Woolworth went through. The times caught up with Woolworth. During its time it blazed brightly in the retail sky. But as all stars, in time their light grows dim and then fades. It is nice to have this book as a reminder of the way things were back in the day.Woolworth is a name that has long passed into history and in time will be unrecognizable. But for a long period of time, it was a friend to Americans, Canada and friend abroad. Enjoy this historic walk through the development and final demise of the 5&10. Good book.
