How do I make the handle go down all the way? It only goes down half way.

You should be able to push the button on the T handle to get it to go all of the way down.

How do you extend the handle further?

There is a grey button on the handle, press the button down and pull up the handle to extend the it further. My daughter has been using rolling backpack for one more years. It is a durable one.
