I don't hate them, now that I received them, though I am a little disappointed. I will say, I think these are attractive, a nice simple look. And so far, mine hasn't experienced the smearing of the letters yet. And I agree with another review: pay attention to the measurements. These are not large enough to hold a 4 pound bag,of sugar, for example.Very easy to clean by handwashing, I hope that extends the life of the letters. I'm curious how the seal will hold up over time, as I agree with other reviews that it doesn't seem very air tight to begin with.I may opt to store other items in these canisters, if i feel like the items don't stay fresh.

Bought to replace some very old ones. They look great and holds plenty. Very pleased with purchase
