A well crafted knife, made in America of hickory hardwood and for the best edge, carbon steel.Be prepared to sharpen your knife on arrival. The full tang blade come with a basic grind but not the razor sharp edge you need. This is not a bad thing! Carbon steel blades must be sharpened and oiled regularly and will last a couple of lifetimes with care.This is a serious skinner and kept a fresh honed edge through two pigs with just an occasional swipe of the steel.

I like the Skinner. I like to use it for carving Turkey up. It actually makes a nice knife for chopping vegetables because of the curved blade.

Good knife, just not quite up to my quality standards.

I like the way it’s curve handle but I don’t like the way that it not sharp enough for cutting meat.

All around great knife.
