I should have researched better what I really needed before purchasing as these were too high of ohm and too low of wattage. I was trying to slow down a 12V PSU fan which I believe pulls 2-3 amps. It's a server PSU and the fans are loud for the purpose I'm using. When there is no load, the fans run at 100%. When there is a load, they drop to an appropriate RPM to deal with the heat. The warmer it gets, the higher they spin, but with a 2-3 amp load on the PSU, they are almost silent. With a 40A load, they are audible, but not bad. With no load, it sounds like a hair dryer gone awry.These potentiometers seemed of decent quality, the dial turned like butter and they have some heft to them. They were physically too large for what I wanted and they also overheated when I tried using them. Again, I was expecting too much from them and didn't use the correct wattage.

used these to add variable resistance to control circuits for timing and fuel on a Hilux Surf KZN130 (the famous resistor mod).work perfectly, but the 1-10 markings on the dial do not exactly correlate to the range of rotational movement, so 1-10 does not equate to 0 - 1K Ohm resistance when adjusting.You can easily work it out and re-mark the dial, but you shouldn't really have to - shame as the quality itself and action is great, with a nice linear progression on resistance values.

These aren't really guitar potentiometers per se, but they are 500K linear potentiometers nonetheless. I bought them and put them in my 71 Strat and have been very happy with the results. I think they'll be staying right where they are.

These potentiometers are of great quality. The dial motion is very smooth and tight. They are definitely linear as stated. I have bought other linear pots in the past that were not linear. I will buy these again and would recommend to anyone wanting quality components.

Not exactly what I expected but that could be a mistake on my part for misreading the item name/description. I was expecting the knob to click into each position along the single turn but instead, it turns smoothly through the entire rotation. Not really what I wanted but it will work for now. Other than that, besides the issue stated by so many other reviewers about the numbering being off by 1, no other issues. Item shipped on time.
