Installed it several days ago and I was very impressed how well this light looks. Not sure how it would look on 8 foot ceiling but on 9 foot it looks great. I also installed Lutron Maestro dimmer and 0 buzzing. The color temperature is just perfect, not too white not too yellow. I would say about 2900K. The light is very bright at the maximum brightness. I have other lights in the kitchen, but this light is enough to light up 30x60 room.Even thought the LED itself is not heavy compared to other LEDs, installation was little tricky at the canopy. The cross bar can make marks on the ceiling when install but with little water or windex, the marks will go away.I am soo impressed with this light that if seller will give me good deal, I may buy one more to store it in case this one goes out.

Easy to install and fits perfectly if you're looking for a modern light fixture. I saw others like this in another light store going for 10 times as much and delivery time was another 4-6 weeks. Crazy. Light can be set very low so it looks great under just a glow or if need be, turned up all the way to find or see just about anything like crumbs in a drawer. When picking it up, it has substance and it's not all rickety in your hands like it wil fall apart.

It’s beautiful to look at but I purchased this to replace same item we had but it broke after 1 year. It’s also not as bright as the other one. It’s such a pain to install, I’m just going to leave it up. :(

It's much nicer in person than in the pictures. I included a picture of the light when it's off and when it's on. Good thing it is dimmable because it's very very bright! We need to change out our switch so we can use the dimmer, but I'm sure it'll be nice once we do. We purchased this light over other cheaper ones because it's dimmable. Our electrician didn't have a problem installing it. Seems pretty easy to adjust the length, but I would recommend starting out with the light hanging lower and adjusting it (shortening it) to desired height. We didn't try so I'm not sure how easily it would be to lower it again. Looks cool like a modern, flying space ship, but in a nice way. Hopefully this product lasts a long time!

I ordered a replacement to the first light because the wires were so incredibly tangled. I don't know why they leave the factory so tangled. Completely illogical. The second lamp was tangled, as well. I spent 30 minutes twisting and turning and untangling before finally getting all three wires straight. I can't understand why they come this way. Alas, once untangled, it wasn't too difficult to install. As other reviewers have stated, the light is NOT dimmable, although it is advertised as such. I am deducting one star as a result. Otherwise, once installed, it is a great lamp - very, very bright - and very attractive. If you are great at untangling and get it installed, you will love it!

I researched these style of "halo" LED lighting for our kitchen for probably 10+ hours. I finally decided on this one because it was the cool white color, and lumen output. It really is a beautiful light, though it's blinding to look directly at. The biggest disappointment is that this is NOT a great light for "filling" a room with light, like you might think given the entire fixture lights up. It is directional lighting better suited for task-lighting. As in shining directly below onto an area. We had a track light up before with four, 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs that put out a total of 2,800 lumen or so. Those actually lit up the room better than this light that's 6,000+ lumens. The problem is that it's very concentrated light directly above, and below. I am also concerned about longevity. We tested the light several times during the installation process when we were trying to find an optimal height. A couple of those tests, the bottom ring failed to light which makes me concerned that over time this light will not last. The wires themselves that are supporting the weight of the ring appear and feel to be about speaker-level wiring grade. I guess time will tell. If I had to purchase again, I would probably decline personally which is a shame. I had really high hopes and feel underwhelmed after its installed. Some installation tips, make sure you're aware that the outter base of the mounting plate is quite a bit larger than the inside plate. When attaching the four screws, if any one of the screws are tightened too much, the holes for the other three will NOT line up! Make sure to get your first screw in a few turns, then proceed to line up the other holes. Installation seemed a lot more cumbersome than other lights I"ve installed. The metal is also sharp, be careful. Sliced my hand opened in a few different spots from the sharp edges on the metal.

We bought this light in August, but it was not installed until November 14th. It was well worth the wait. We are totally satisfied with the light. It's unbelievable how much light it makes; we will have a dimmer installed. The price was fantastic, especially when you compare to what most websites are asking. I only gave it a four star rating for installation; I didn't actually install it, and electrician did; he said getting the wires correct was a little bit of a problem, but it looks perfect.

This is exactly how a light should be designed. The company thought if everything for installation. The wall mount fit right it with our existing screws. The cables have a mechanism where it is so easy to lower or raise when leveling it (I set a level on the light in 3 places to get it exact). The light is SUPER bright, but not overly harsh to the eyes. Finally, the design is just wonderful. Coming from a traditional design preference, this modern contemporary piece really freshened up our space!
