Snowflake: The White Gorilla [DVD]

I purchased this movie because we had rented it from redbox once and my daughter absolutely loved it! It came quickly and as described. The 4 out of 5 stars is not the fault of the seller but the movie itself , you little ones will probably love the movie, mine did but the dubbing will drive parents crazy it is so poorly done. The movie was originally in Spanish and when dubbed to English (with Sam and Kat's voices!) it just didn't match up very well. It really is a cute storyline and cute movie though and still a favorite with my little girl.

Story was very cute for my 6 and 8 year old. They enjoyed the action and the characters. BUT the voices of the characters did not match their mouths. I stopped and started the movie to see if it would fix but no. As an adult that really bothered me, but the kids didn’t seem to mind.

My granddaughter love this movie. I had rented it at the Redbox, so I had to purchase it for her birthday.

Took a really hard left. Too heavy of political agenda mixed with roughly hewn lines concerning overly modern themes. We don't watch movies to get a sense of real life. Its supposed to be a fun experience. Leave the agenda to the politicians.

First, it's the cutest story and actually incredibly well done. Yes the live action has some imperfect moments...DUH, anyone who thinks writing entirely new words that tell the story, in a different language, and then dubbing the English lines to match ppl who were speaking different words in SPANISH..and still have the viewers enjoy the story...anyone who thinks this can look perfect or is easy has some issues with logical thinking. The animated characters are ALWAYS dubbed perfectly and cute as can be. And the live action, when u consider what was involved in making this movie, is actually pretty impressive too. What a lovely movie really. It's a sweet, adorable, funny movie that actually , unlike most, has wonderful lessons for children too. And CHILDREN love it. That's what matters. And I'd let my kids watch it all day long.

The dubbing isn't great about halfway through the movie it seems to match better, however for its price it was quite a good story trying to teach not to judge somebody just because of skin colour. I thought it was very well done in that way as all through the movie even with the girl & boy there are clear social differences yet the gorilla and the story of good vs evil it is well made in showing that we need to learn to see what is inside not just skin colour. My Mum & myself enjoyed it as long as you can ignore the dubbing well worth watching as has a lovely ending.

This film is great entertainment for all ages & well worth buying - I highly recommend it.

I wouldn't waste your money on this DVD, the dubbing is so bad and so is the film really. My three year old didn't even like it, he told me " mummy that ones rubbish" so that says it all really. There's a lot better DVDs out there.

Bought this as a stocking gift as my daughter loves it, she's 24 mind ! But her children now love it too. Great little film.
