Looks and sounds great
Having been so pleased with the Lemega M1 for the living room, I bought the CR2 for the kitchen/diner. This radio looks good and has a quality feel in terms of build and finish. Most importantly, it sounds great for its size, with reasonable depth and good clarity - I use it with the 'Loudness' function enabled, which boosts the bass.Like most modern radios, it is not exactly simple to use but the basic functions are easily accessed thanks to the large button/control on the top, which acts as the on/off switch, volume control, mute switch and option-select control. You press it to switch on the unit and turn it to adjust the volume. Switching off is not so obvious, as a short press will actually just mute the sound - a long press is required to switch off. This is a little inconvenient and a design flaw, in my opinion, as mute is a minor function and a short press to switch off would be more logical. Finally, I like the choices of clock face, including analogue options (with hands). This radio is amazing value for money at around £60 and I can thoroughly recommend it.

Wonderful radio with a very cute design
Lemega wasn't a name that I knew but I took a chance on their M1 radio with walnut finish, as a much cheaper alternative to the likes of Pure and Roberts. This is a lovely piece of kit with its blend of modern and retro design, reminding me of a small version of an old 'wireless' from the mid-20th century but with a modern twist. It is nicely constructed in a gorgeous walnut case. I bought mine for my living room and think of it as a mini piece of furniture. This is perhaps not the easiest radio to use but is fine once you've got it up and running. My main complaint is that the On/Off button sometimes needs two or even three presses to work. The radio is pretty good in terms of sound quality with nice clarity, but works better with Classical music than Pop/Rock music. I use it with the 'Loudness' function engaged, which gives the sound more body. I principally use it to listen to BBC Radio 4, which is mainly speech and this radio gives a lovely tone to voices. It can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker and works well in this mode.I cannot recommend the Lemega M1 more highly, especially for listeners of BBC Radios 3 and 4. Mine was well worth the money.

What's not to like?
I had been searching for an affordable, portable, compact DAB alarm radio with bluetooth which looked stylish. This one ticks all the boxes. Its polar white clean lines and tapered body make it aesthetically pleasing on my bedside table.Much more importantly, it found all the stations immediately and without need for further tuning, the device produces a good quality of sound for its price tag, having a multitude of functions and a dimmable display which allows me to sleep without problem. Add its reliable alarm and bluetooth with which my android phone hooked up effortlessly and the result is a happy customer.I have been using the radio for a couple of months now with no issues whatsoever. One thing I would advise is spending a little time running through the ways in which functions are accessed by the different controls on the front. 20 minutes spent doing so before you start using the device will avoid confusion, though it's a pretty straightforward interface. It does everything I need and want. And it's affordable for those with a small to medium budget. What's not to like?

Great bedside alarm clock radio
Very stylish with a luxury look and feel. I needed to replace a very old alarm clock radio. Had already sent a different one back for being too bright and too complex to set. This one is very dim on its dim setting. Also very easy to turn off for the 2 weekdays I don't need the alarm. Has 2 alarms so one I set to buzzer and one to radio. Easy to change the alarm time too. Have got into a good routine. You can set one alarm for weekdays and the other for weekends if it suits. You can choose buzzer, radio as DAB or FM and also choose to wake up to anything on your smart phone. Also can choose to wake up to whatever you were last listening to. DAB signal is unreliable in my house so FM was important. Reception on both is MUCH better than the old radio alarm I had. Very pleased. The alarm starts low and increases to its loudest over a few seconds. Loud is quite loud enough. No option to come on loud at first sleep timer works well. Love that I can listen to audio books or meditations on my phone played through the sleep timer and still wake up to Radio 4 (Hey, I am 64....don't judge!). So these are all the things I wanted to know when choosing this great little radio. Another big plus was the rechargeable battery so I can take it outside without needing a mains socket. The sound is heavenly, very rich. I think it can be adjusted to taste but love the sound it came with out of the box. Super easy to tune. Well done Le Mega and thanks.

Great, but...
Like everything about this, but, the display cannot be turned off, so runs down the battery overnight, (I use it for work, so is left in van)There is a little switch for isolating the rechargeable battery, but you have to take out battery to get to it!Why they couldn't make it so you could switch it off completely, then would be perfect.

Great multi-function radio / music player
I was looking for a portable radio with bluetooth capability and am very impressed with this unit at this price. Although the instruction leaflet isn't the clearest the set-up is quite intuitive and straightforward. I use the unit mostly for talk radio and occasionally listening to music via Bluetooth. Whilst I'm no sound expert, the talk and music reproduction quality are fine to my ears. I have docked it one star, perhaps harshly, for locating the battery isolation switch under the battery in the battery compartment; I would have expected it to be easily accessible on the back panel. Having the battery switch as inaccessible as it is means you're unlikely to use it, which means when plugged into the mains the battery is being constantly charged which will ultimately reduce the lifespan of the battery - but that's a small gripe about an otherwise excellent product.
