Swiss-Spice Salt + Pepper Shaker

In high school, I was a waitress, so I know what happens to condiments and spices left table side. Since Covid, I’m a little more cautious about public-use items. This spice container is air-tight, holds up to being jostled around in my purse. It’s very convenient, and holds an ample amount of pepper and salt. I was a bit hesitant to purchase at the price point, but it’s proven to be well worth it in value.

This is my third purchase of this travel salt and pepper shaker. My wife has one in her lunch box, I do as well and this last one I gave to a friend as a gift. I find that the salt and pepper stay dry, it’s easy to fill and just very convenient to carry. My friend is very happy with this gift as well.

Sadly, I eat in my car a minimum of 5 times a week. I purchased one of these through mail order -- which should foreshadow how old it is -- over, I'd say, 20-years-ago, and possibly 25. Still works like a charm. Double the price from back then, but that still didn't stop me from purchasing another, just in case they disappear. Exact same one, by-the-way. I should be set for the rest of my life, now, unless I lose them, and they do in fact disappear. The small exception is that the only thing I've found that unscrews the little blue caps is an large, unopened paper clip. Nothing else I've found removes them without boogering them up.

I carry this with me in my purse everywhere, and it's been great! It isn't fragile, doesn't spill, and it's a perfect size.

Too many times I have had to ask friends who I am visiting or even servers at restaurants to please put salt and pepper on the table. 2 to 3000 years of people making saltmills etc. and all of a sudden some people decide that you can’t have it because they think their taste buds are the same as yours! This is the solution!

Mine arrived on time and with every part. Definitely built to last and focused for outdoor or mountaineering. Very attractive and feels good in the hand. Only gripe is the shaker seals are the cheap foam like in spice bottle lids. Maybe a silicone seal for next generation models?

Awesome product! I got it because sometimes at restaurants my food will not come as seasoned as I’d like and I personally don’t like adding plain salt to my food. I put Adobo in one side and Old Bay in the other side (mainly for French fries). It’s small enough to carry in my purse and was able to take out the insert easily with a flat screwdriver. Easy to fill, too. Seems very durable. 10/10 would recommend.

Elegant and nicely made. Thoughtful design, high quality materials. Not cheap, but quality rarely is. A larger sized version would be nice. You will need a screwdriver or similar to open the fill ports, and a funnel makes filling much easier.
