Nothing beats Legos!
Building bricks were always my favorite toy growing up (I'm a girl) and I've bought them for my son for almost 2 decades now, since he was a toddler, so why it took me so long to buy my own sets is a mystery. They came out with the holiday train this year and I decided I must have it to go around the Cmas tree. After putting it together, I got the bright idea to add a "village" of sorts and wanted to catch up on the older sets. Most are out of what I want to pay but this was still pretty reasonable, not too far above the original selling price and super cute. It took a little effort to get the two "shop" pieces to fit together and I wondered if I had put it together incorrectly or if it just was a design flaw, but it finally worked out. This will make a nice addition to my growing village.

A huge holiday hit with my kids
My kids all love Legos, they love them. And they love Christmas. So, a Lego Santa's Workshop was a natural purchase for our family. And it was worth the price. This set has a lot going for it: Santa's sleigh, reindeer, toy workshop, elves, Mrs. Claus, and more. The best part was, with four kids, there were plenty of different elements of the set to be built, so there was something for everyone to build. Now, you might think this eliminated the possible sibling bickering about who did what, but if you ink the, you're an only child. Siblings will fight about anything. Anything. We bought this last year, and they built it the day after Thanksgiving. Now, as Thanksgiving approaches, they're already talki about who gets to build what this year. Anything which gets more than one use is worth getting, especially if it's something which can engender the same excitement even after the novelty has worn off.I look forward to many years of kids arguing over who gets to build what. And, if your kids (or you, I collect Legos too), like Legos, they will too.

Wonderful details and a "just right" finished product.
Like many, I cringe to fork over the money for these lego sets, but they do offer an incredible value over all. We rebuild this each year as a centerpiece in our kitchen. It's a fun little tradition with children. LEGO always provides nice details (for example, you can reverse Mrs. Clause's face to be grumpy or happy depending on how many cookies Santa has on his tray), and this is a fun companion piece to the advent calendar.

The house looks great, I really like the little details inside (like ...
As an AFOL I wanted to have a small Christmas display for the holidays. So I have Santa's Workshop (10245), the Winter Toy Shop (10249), the 2016 Holiday Train (10254), and the 2015 limited edition Gingerbread House (40139).The house looks great, I really like the little details inside (like the letters to Santa). The toy making machine and conveyor belt is cute. The reindeer are a bit cheesy, but I'll overlook it since the rest of the set look great.

Great set. It's definitely an expert level
Great set. It's definitely an expert level. My 6 year old LOVES legos and I bought this for us to put together with each other and then display as one of our holiday decorations. It's a little too complicated for him to do alone but perfect to do together. The reindeer are ADORABLE!

Good set, could be bigger.
I am an avid Lego collector. I collect all of these winter sets and put them on display each Christmas. Of the sets this one left something to be desired. For being santas workshop in the North Pole I feel like it should have been on of the larger sets in the series. Also the building is more just the façade of the front it's not as complete as the other buildings that more just appear to be missing the back wall. For those who were sad not to see Rudolph in this set I am sure it was for copyright reasons but Lego always includes extra pieces with each set, one is these is in fact a red one is the piece you use for a nose so you can switch it and have a Rudolph in your set if you want :) over all it's cute and it added to the feastiveness of the town. I like it.

Perfect holiday/Christmas set!
I used mine as a decoration on a windowsill during Christmas! Everything is perfect. Santa, Mrs. Claus (and a plate full of cookies), the sleigh, their house, the work shop, the toy machine, the elves, the tree and the tiny reindeer. I can't wait to buy more holiday expansion packs and buildings from other sets. I would highly recommend you check this set out! I hope you found my review and photos helpful! :)
