If you're anything like me, you've been scouring web sites like Google and Amazon to find the best case for your shiny new toy. The Nexus 7 is one beefy machine, but also a thin, lightweight, and sleek one. Now, don't get me wrong, these are all wonderful qualities for any modern device, but while using it, I often feel like I am cradling a newborn baby: I don't want to leave the house, and every hard surface or sharp edge make me cringe.To begin, I must admit this is my first silicone-based case, so while I cannot offer any comparisons to similar cases, I can say that I am very happy with this one. After using it for about a week, I can also say it doesn't have some of the issues people tend to complain about with similar products.So let's get to it, shall we? Here's a quick breakdown of this case's best features:1. It does not have a strong odor. In fact, there's hardly an odor at all, even right out of the packaging. I've read countless reviews of other silicone cases, and this seems to be an issue with most of them. Not so here.2. The silicone does not attract much dust/lint. Now, I'm not saying dust/lint do not accumulate, but it's not overly problematic. I was very worried about this, as I got mine in black and a lot of dust/lint would drive me crazy, but after some use I'm quite pleased to say it has been minimal. (To be fair, I keep my tablet in a drawer when I'm not using it, so that may help, but still...)3. The silicone is of very high quality, and adds a TON of grip to the somewhat slippery Nexus 7. In my opinion, this is one of its best features, as the Nexus is far more comfortable to hold, particularly for watching videos or playing games in landscape. Overall, the tablet just feels better, and more secure, in your hands.4. The case is thick enough that I feel confident it will provide above-average protection from falls, which is why I went with this type of case over a folio in the first place. Yes, it does add some weight (8 ounces, to be exact), but the added protection and comfort outweigh (no pun intended) the added heft.5. The extra thickness on the front of the case also extends protection to your screen, as you can lay the tablet face down without the screen ever touching the surface. This may seem like a small thing, but it offers surprising peace of mind.6. The case fits very snugly on the Nexus 7: the tablet does not move or slide AT ALL, nor do I fear it will fall out. Additionally, all ports seem to be accessible; I've only used my charger so far, but everything looks precisely cut.Of course, like so many things in life, nothing is perfect. So far, my only gripe is that the top of the case comes very close to the edge of the screen. While this does offer additional protection, it can also make it difficult to access your settings and notifications menus. This was a bit...interesting at first, but I've learned to simply work around it. Not a deal breaker (for me), but something to keep in mind. At the end of the day, you can still access these menus, you'll just have to make a small adjustment to how you swipe. Whereas I used to use my index finger, I now find it easier to use my thumb.Bottom line: If you want to protect your Nexus 7 from bumps and drops, and give it some much needed grip at a (fairly) inexpensive price, look no further than the Silicone Jelly case by Amzer.

This slip on case offers excellent protection while not being too bulky. Doubled up on corners and the spine, this cover protects my tablet from damage if it gets dropped. Getting knocked off the desk or slipping off a bed, this cover offers great protection. It also makes it easier to hold and use the table. The only drawback is down swiping the very top status line because the protector gets in the way a bit. But once you get used to it you learn to flex your finger properly and it's all good. The case fits perfectly and permits access to all ports and buttons. In fact, it makes it easier to locate the power and volume switches by touch. While a good, snug fit, it's a snap to put on or take it off. A great cover for price and function.

It is a little cumbersome because of its exceptional cling. I usually carry my nexus in my back pocket so sometimes it is grabby on the in and out. But the clingy nature of the gel is excellent for propping my nexus up on my desk.I have seen some reviews say that the top boarder is to low to access the pull down menus, but i do not find that to be a problem. the pull down menus are easily accessed by placing finger just below the gel and swiping down.

Very Happy with my case for the nexus 7 2nd gen from Amzer. Looks great, fits great, comfortable to hold.

I would give it a 5 star if it was a little more attractive but that's not important when everything else about this case is impressive. A beautiful snow white color made with a durable rubber material that is easy to clean keeping its natural color. Fits like a glove giving it great protection Small ridges on the back giving it a good grip. Bottons lined up perfect with the case. You're not regret it or I will personally give you a refund. hehe...

Nice protection against rough kids. Substantial feel and great corner protection. This is a well-made product. Only one problem: it is VERY difficult to use pull-down menus for notifications and settings. I suppose that could be a strength if this is only for kids, but slows down adults big time.Bottom line is:I would only recommend this product if you are going to hand over your 2013 nexus 7 to the kids for an extended period of time, or try to turn it into a Nabi tablet.

So far, so good! My boys have already dropped the tablet at least once and it's survived, so it's doing its job. My only "complaint" is that it attracts every speck of dust, but I guess you can't really avoid that given the material.

I have 3 boys, 6,6, and 2. They all three have tablets. They each have one of these cases in a different color. My 6 year old step son has special needs and tends to throw fits. He has thrown his tablet at walls or dropped it MANY times! It doesn't have a scratch on it. This case is the best thing for a tablet!!

A bit heavier than expected, good grip

El costo-beneficio es excelente en este producto. La única pega que se le podría poner es que cubre hasta la orilla de la pantalla y esto conlleva el problema de que para salir de una aplicación inmersiva se complique porque nn hay margen para deslizar el dedo desde antes de la pantalla. Fuera de eso el producto está muy bien.

Fits nicely, feels secure in hand and has nice grip to it. Only issue I have is trying to get my finger to the top of the screen to pull down notifications, but I was aware of this from other reviews so I just have to lift the edge slightly. The colour is nice and easy to spot from a distance when I forget where I put my tablet.

These are great, I have one for each of the kids tablets. The extra silicone at the corners works well to protect the device inside - my kids have dropped their tablets a few times and no problems so far.

I had no problems with previous N7 version of this case. But the new design doesn't account for fullscreen mode and stands in the way when I try to swipe down from the top edge. Other than that the case is still great for the kid's tablet as it can take beating real hard and the tablet survives.
