I had high hopes for this Travel Power Adapter Voltage Converter going to Italy. And it worked just fine for all my electronic devices (smart phones, tablets, camera battery). Alas, when I've tried to use it for my favorite hair dryer, poor thing made high-pitched noise and died (the hair dryer). The Adapter is claimed to be able to handle 1875w, but my hair dryer uses much less power. Good thing I took with me an old-fashioned adapter-converter.

I had my fingers crossed when I ordered this. I'm in Korea, so returns are harder. The device works well. My problem is the description is SO DAMN VAGUE. one paragraph says don't use a thing, the next says it's ok to use the thing. Seriously. Hire someone to write it in clear english.

Fried my curling iron, I had to throw it out the second day of my trip to France. Made me nervous using my flat iron, it made crackling sounds while heating up. Luckily I had a popular name brand converter with me to use for the rest of the trip. Would only recommend you use this with small electronic devices, not devices that require a more power like styling tools.

I just got home from Ireland and this little unit was used daily. Its compact size made it ideal for travel and it's easy to use. I charged my phone, iWatch and ran a small travel fan each night. I was so happy to have it along!

Though this was easy to pack for travel, every time we had to plug in or unplug anything we got “zapped”. It is unfortunate that you could be “electrocuted “ for trying to charge your cellphone!This went back!!

Hooked up the product exactly as instructions stated. Within 90 seconds my Scandanavian hotel room was filled with an acrid odor and the hair dryer stopped working. Cannot return it because our return to the US was too late.

square plugs do not fit into the round outlets in Israel & EGYPT. I had to prop up the unit to keep the prongs in the outlet. By the time I returned from traveling, the return window had passed.

Do not buy this if you are looking for a voltage converter to be used with a hair dryer or something similar. It burnt up my wife’s hair dryer and blew a fuse at the condo we were staying at in Switzerland. The description clearly states that it is a converter and will step down the voltage, but don’t be fooled, or you will be left with wet hair and in the dark.
