Thick Sock, Fits in Fins, and Size Chart Found!
I was looking for a thick neoprene bootie that I could wear as I walk over rocky surfaces, on my way out to snorkel. They are super thick and also fit into my fins. For now, very pleased. I'll update my review once I use them on my vacation in St. John next week. Also, for those who can't figure out what size to buy, I wear a shoe size of 6.5, and ordered the XS. Before doing so, I found this size chart on another site selling the bootie.

The socks were easy to put on and remove for wetsuit material
I tested these out at home in colder water than necessary. I cooled water down to 37 degrees in a bucket and worked on the computer with my socked foot in it. After the hour the water had “warmed” to 42 degrees. When I initially put my foot in the water I could only slightly feel the cold. I move my foot around to try to simulate the amount of movement when I paddle board. My feet were cold, obviously, but nowhere near what they would have been if barefoot. The socks were easy to put on and remove for wetsuit material. And only enough water to wet my feet seeped in during the allotted time. I’m very pleased with these so far in a static test. We will see how they hold up when I’m paddling on Lake Tahoe. The socks come on and off easily. They have little traction bumps which will help on the board and the lack of a rigid base will allow me to wiggle my toes while paddling to keep my feet from going numb.

Flexible, warm, and work well
I got these to use while Stand up Paddling here in Tenn. I used them today and because of the wind, some water had collected on my board. I was standing and kneeling in a small amount of water and never felt any water on my feet. They are comfy and stretchy so they do not restrict movement. Very comfy. I wear a size 8 1/2 w/ a narrow foot, and they fit well, although they are bit loose on the sides so would accommodate at least a normal width foot. I'm very happy I bought them.Update: It's in the 40's here and I've used these now 3-4 times. Today I left my thick wool socks under the booties. My foot is narrow so I had room. Again, not a drop of water permeated the booties. My socks stayed dry! Again, not submerging in water, but standing/kneeling on my board in a small amount ofVERY COLD water. So good.

Dry and warm
Purchased the NeoSport 5mm wet suit socks so I could continue paddling my kayak through October and with any luck, November. I wear a size 8 or 8.5 shoe (woman's) - the small NeoSport fit perfectly. Tried them for the first time today, with a pair of SmartWool merino wool crew socks underneath. Wearing the NeoSports, I couldn't slip my foot into any shoes I own, so I just pretended they were shoes and walked down to the beach where my kayak is kept. Surface water temperature was 45F; air temperature was 50F. I was standing in the lake water while entering my kayak, but my feet were quite comfortable and certainly didn't feel wet. The NeoSports were comfortable on my foot braces. Upon my return to shore, I had to again stand in the water while getting out of my kayak. When I was back at my house, I stripped off the NeoSports and was quite surprised that my SmartWool socks and feet were completely dry. Great product!

Perfect fit
The XL size is a perfect fit for my size 12 feet. I work as a flyfishing guide in Alaska in the summers and these socks will allow me to wear my wading boots without the waders when I am rowing clients down whitewater rivers. Combined with wet suit shorts or pants, I can have the warmth, comfort and mobility I need and still have the ability to jump into the river without drowning.

I love these. For one
I love these. For one, they can be used for a variety of purposes. I use these for diving, they work really well and fit into my fins no problem. I dive a couple of times a month and these have help up pretty well so far for the 3 months that I've been using them. You can also use these as wet socks to keep your feet warm. For example, I used these when I was rafting in the mountains. The water temperature was 50 degrees and keep pooling around my feet so these socks were able to keep my feet warm. These are very thin and are not like water shoes, so I don't know if I would recommend them for any rocky underwater terrain because you'd be feeling every pebble. Great product overall and I would recommend these.

Works great for fishing in waders.
Keeps my feet much warmer while fishing in waders. In winter time I wear wool socks underneath. It's been great and I can last longer in the cold Northwest rivers. In winter time, your wader boots will be a little more snug because you wear these stocks inside your waders... essentially doubling the neoprene layers. In the summer time I will wet wade while fishing for steelhead and Salmon. No wool socks at all, just these inside my wader boots. It's not waterproof, not made to be. But what it does is it insulates and traps the water inside around your feet. Your body heat then warms that water up, which in turn keeps your feet warmer longer. If you are wet wading without waders, your wader boots will be looser because you're only wearing this sock.

Better than booties in my opinion
I have worn 2 or 3 different booties for surfing the past 6 years. They all have side zippers and fairly thick rubber bottoms. Since I have narrow feet, a size 10 1/2 to 11, I started to wear ordinary crew socks in them and then taped around the arch with about 6 or 7 turns of black electrical tape which I buy from Harbor Freight. Yes, I am frugal. The tape keeps the booties from shifting around. I also tape the uppers to keep water out, but this really doesn't help much. Since all this weight makes it harder to pop up and get my feet under me I bought these 5mm socks which work very well without booties at all. I do still wind the tape around the arch and tops. The socks are much lighter and a better fit. I ordered the large and they are quite snug. If I had a wider foot I would probably order the next size up. I hope this information helps. Oh. I also bought these in the 1 mm thickness but they are only good for wearing inside a bootie.February 2014 Update: I have been wearing these inside my booties and they are excellent! Wow. I don't have to tape anything up, and the fit is perfectly snug. Who knew?

waterproof
I thought they would help with repelling water, but they didn't allow any water onto my foot. They kept my toes warm while I was kayaking, and when I stepped on the rocks in the water, the padding protected my feet. If you are a diabetic, you will understand the concern with protecting your feet. I will buy these again.

No muy buena calidad
A simple vista se ven muy bien pero son muy olgadas por lo que les entra mucha agua a pesar de ajustarla con el traje completo.
