Spice Appeal Anise Seed Ground, 16 Ounce

The first picture has the "2 pack" logo on it, and the size was "1 Pound (Pack of 2)". I received 1x 1 pound container. I don't know if i was swindled, or if the listing was misleading (you be the judge of the seller's intent). But, based on the 2 pack logo and the 1 pound (pack of 2), i expected to receive 2 pounds, and only received one pound.

Great spice for cookies. It is just like my grandmother made cookies during Christmas when I was much younger and full of hope and dreams. Now I am jaded by big corporations, but at least I can eat delicious cookies.

Labeled Ground Anise Seed but smells and tastes like Turmeric. Dissaponted.

I make a recipe for a sweet bread each spring for the Easter holiday that required Anise seed and anise extract. I cannot find either in ANY supermarket in my area in North Carolina. Thankfully Amazon carries it! I make many loaves and mail them to family and friends each year. Even so, I only used half the container of anise seed. I would be grateful if it came in a bit smaller container. Hopefully it will stay fresh enough for next year's loaves. The seeds this year were extremely fresh! The price was also cheaper than I expected!

This is NOT anise. Want to return it to get my money back but it’s not an option. Very disappointed!!!!
