I Shape Connector,Splice For 120V SMD3528 LED Strip Light, Pack of 5 Units

I had to splice together 2 pieces of CBConcept SMD 3528 rope light that I got a while back to remove a section that was accidentally damaged. I cut out the damaged parts up to the 19" point where you can see L30 and R1 written. When I lined up the pins to the wire inside, it seemed that to make it work better, it would help to bring the pins a bit closer to each other. Doing so helped align it better with the wires inside and after that it was just a but of pressure and wiggling. The same on the other side of the rope light and they came together seamlessly inside the connector. Got my 99ft lights working perfectly and saved me the trouble of removing and installing a replacement.

I used this extension to connect 2 seconds of rope lighting together, going behind a cabinet. The first problem I had was the length. The item says the length is 3 feet. But when it arrived, it was only a little more than 2.5 feet. And I really wanted all 3 feet. I had to adjust my plans, and it just did work. Second, it was quite frustrating, with all the adjusting and wiggling and disconnecting and reconnecting, to get the pins to make a connection, so the lights would come on. They could design these better.

The media could not be loaded.  Worked great! Was able to strap up the lights I did for a job easily. Placed these straps every 18in on the lights to make it look right. Here's a tip: use a #1, or P1 Phillip's head for the screws. Handles alot nicer guiding in the strap. Also, ream the bit every so often, it gets metal fibers stuck to it and would make the screw lose balance on the the tip.

Great clips. My only gripe is that they don't come with the lights, and the clips that DO come with the lights are absolutely terrible. The same company makes both, so it's baffling that these clips are so good while the clips included with the lights that I bought (B007TR52D2) are so bad. These clips that're sold separately grip the lights much better, making installation much easier.

If you are buying the 3528SMD LED light strips these have a slightly smaller Power (pin) connector enclosed that the standard pins used in the lights themselves. Only the smaller pin will fit in this connector which means you can use these but, you really have to be careful installing the smaller pin into the larger holes in the cut light strip. Not sure if this is bad design or just Chinese quality control.

The connector spacing in the T-connectors does not match the conductor spacing on power pins or the light strip. The only way I could make them work was to (carefully) cut the power connectors in two (I used a sharp wood chisel), insert the pointy end into the both exposed conductors on the cut end of the light strip and then carefully wiggle the two rounded ends into the receptacle sockets in the connector. I had many false attempts before arriving at this method.As delivered, the power pin connectors will NOT fit in the T connector.There's not really any other option for splitting a single rope into multiple sections, but I would recommend avoiding splitting if you can.

The product fits well my lights but they break very easily. They need to be perfect aligned otherwise they break when you tight the screws. I broke about 15 of them installing a 20 ft long lights. I used them for my outdoor lights, now I am wondering how they will hold against UV light and hot summer days.

Perfect for mounting my LED lights under my deck! Way better than the junk ones it came with. Grips well!
