Charles Faudree's French Country Signature

Faudre during career was named one of the 100 best interior designers in America. His feel for country French was superb. Do not miss this book if you enjoy country French interiors.

Charles Faudree is quite simply the best interior decorator of our times! This is the most perfect decorating book I have ever purchased, and I have a huge collection. Every single page is a joy. If you instantly agree with Charles' philosophy, "Too much of something is never enough!", this is the book for you. I absolutely adore this book, I couldn't put it down the first time I began looking through it. Charles Faudree manages to create the classic look of country French with classy, gorgeous antiques, home-y, warm accessories (lots of dogs, books, French toile, objects from nature) and gorgeous fabrics and wallpaper. This is the way houses should be decorated. I have all his books and readily rate this as his best; "Country French Living" comes in as a close second, and if you really love decorating with antique dogs, I would highly recommend his latest book, "Details". I will be enjoying this book for years to come, thank you Charles!

Great coffee table book. Beautifully illustrated.

Charles Faudree has captured the warmth and beauty inherent in excellent design. His rooms make me want to walk in the door, sit down, lift my cup of tea and luxuriate in my surroundings. He combines accessories and furnishings with rare aplomb and makes it look as if even I could do it! Especially appealing is the way he brings in other elements - 19th century English transferware, for example. I have traveled the world and collected treasures from all over; it's nice to see the combinations he so tastefully puts together. I spent my last birthday with 7 friends in a chateau in S.W. France. Please Mr. Faudree - Invite me over (but be careful, I may never leave!).

I never received this book. Id like to have it, but it shoes up no where other than reviews.

This book is good, but contains more fru-fru than his classic one, Details. Seller noted a tiny tear in the paper jacket. In shipping the "tiny tear" ripped up and bent. I pressed the jacket smooth with a warm iron and Scotch taped it together for a tolerable mend. It is well worth the price of a used book even though condition was not as nice as I expected.

Frech Country definitive volume by Charles Faudree. Miss him terribly.

A wonderful book, long been a fan of Charles Faudree. Beautiful photos, a real authentic reference for those wanting to refresh or design a French country home.
