Excellent book
I love that it has the answers in the back of the book so you can check your own work as you go. That's the main reason I bought it but I really like the layout of the whole book.

Great French resource and review.
I have never used this edition before but have worked with two earlier editions. I have been using the 2rd. ed. in my French classes for seniors, and wanted to upgrade to the newest edition. Each edition seems to be an approvement one upon the other--but I have found the editions are all compatible in my classes, where various students have different editions-1st thru 3rd..

Very Useful
This is the best book I have found for beginners who want to start learning French on their own. It is laid out in a logical, clear, and organized fashion. I have tried several other books and always come back to this one. You will have to supplement with other resources that provide more practice exercises, vocabulary, conjugation, etc. But this is a really good book to get started.

Great Re-entry
Recently decided to try to reclaim my college French, so I took a couple of books out of the library. An older edition of this one was one of them and it was much, much better than the others. I bought this updated edition and I find it easy to use and right in the sweet spot between too easy and too difficult. I guess that's "intermediate," eh?

Feedback for McGraw Hill
This is an excellent book. The paperback version is incredible. However, the Kindle version needs tons of work.- I cannot highlight individual words/phrases in any of the lists because they are not text; they’re images. HUGE FLAW.- The Flashcards aren’t easy to use. We should have the option to highlight text and manually add it to a deck of cards. That way, we can personalize it.- Similarly, the Language Lab app is poorly done. It would be useful if one had the option to manually add certain cards to one’s own, personalized deck. It would also be useful if we could review the cards marked incorrect, afterwards.

Good exercise book for a self-learning adult
This book has plenty of good exercises in all chapters. The answers can br found at the back. There is zero English in it so maybe not ideal for a complete beginner.

Good grammar book
I always wanted to buy it since I saw it used by one of a youtuber. It's really informative. The only thing is there is a lot of material to go through, which is good as well as you need to be disciplined in order to learn better. Good vocabulary in verbs, which is actually useful. The only drawback is what someone else mentioned in kindle version there are images for verbs if it was text dictionary could have been used then and there. But a worth purchase if you are serious about learning French. :)

Comprehensive, clear and useful, but you still have to do the work!
I still have quite a way to go! But I am working my way through to revise all aspects of my French grammar. It meets my needs and is clear and easy to follow.

It doesn’t get much better than this
I have been teaching languages for almost 30 years. I highly recommend this book as a reference or a textbook.
