I haven't always put a lot of thought into my grooming products. But over time, I've become more and more discerning about the products I use. ANVL shaving cream has become one of my favorite products for all the things it IS and all the things it ISN'T.ANVL shaving cream IS made from the highest quality ingredients. It smells good, it feels good and it is very effective. I get a close shave without irritation and my skin feels soft afterwards. ANVL shaving cream ISN'T chemicals and fillers with weird, almost toxic smells that irritate your skin and give you a headache and maybe even lowers your testosterone (as many of the popular brands do).I was given a tube of ANVL from a friend and I immediately bought two more on Amazon when I ran out. I hesitated to buy a quality product that cost a few dollars more because I shave my head almost daily and I thought I'd go through it too quickly. What I have found is it actually lasts me over a month when I am just a little careful about not over-doing it.Right before I started using ANVL, I still had a little bit left of my old shaving cream and I just let it sit there in the shower for a couple months. The other day, I decided to use the rest so I didn't waste it. I was shocked at how "chemically" it smelled and noticed I got a slight headache for a few minutes. I think it's crazy to put things on your body that have that affect- but I was so used to it, I just wasn't noticing.I love this product and I recommend you try it yourself.

The shave solution dose an amazing job

I was doubtful at first, as this cream, not like foam, was transparent after placing it on the skull and hair. Now I am a believer. I do not have any sign of razor burn. My skull is cool and smooth. I have full of thick hair and do not have any bold spots on the head. Thus, without good shaving foam or cream, it can be very painful after shaving my head. This cream passed the test.Another reason I decided to try this cream, instead of regular shaving foam, was that I use gray water for the yard, as I live in dry California. For that reason, I am happy to use this organic cream.I also like that this cream becomes transparent. Thus it is really easy to shape my mustache and beard.Finally, I am very sensitive to some odors and cannot stand scented items, such as dryer sheets. This cream is perfect, as it is unscented.

I was excited to try a no lather shave cream. I had heard it worked better but I was skeptical of skipping the whole lathering up the beard process. Worse, I have the bad combination of tender skin and coarse facial hair; babyface they used to call it. I was pleasantly surprised with the shave experience. This cream makes my tender babyface skin very slippery so i felt almost no resistance as i pulled my razor over my face and neck. Based on my first shave I'm hooked. Next time I'm gonna try a new blade too. I took off a star for the tiny font and not being able to read the directions in the shower without glasses. My wife say's she likes the scent which is saying allot

No Odor

For years I have had to shave at night in order to give my sensitive skin time to heal overnight. Otherwise I would go to work looking like someone took sandpaper to my face. I have used many different products and shaving strategies but Anvil has been a game-changer. Not only is the actual shave experience smooth and effortless, my skin is no longer red and irritated. I waited two weeks to write this review, thinking it might be some temporary effect. It is the real deal. I still shave at night: 1) it's one less thing to do in the morning and 2) my wife prefers a smooth face at night. However I wake up to incredibly smooth skin.

Functionally ok, but the "unscented" scent approximates regurgitated papaya.

I bought this for my husband for our anniversary. I figured if it worked well, it was a gift for both of us :) It delivered! My husband loves that he gets such a smooth shave with this lotion. His feedback: "Really nice lubrication, I only need a small amount and no hormones!" I love how his face feels. Baby soft. Nice to kiss! It inspired me to try it on my legs. Yeah baby! Smooth and silky - and nice hydration. We highly recommend this shave cream.
