I have a nesting platform for mourning doves mounted under my covered porch. I have had it for several years and seen many eggs laid and hatched every season. It can get smelly if not cleaned out regularly. which is bad since is right above my front door. I try to find a break in between nestings when I can clean the platform. I pull out the base of the platform, dump all the contents in a trash bag, wipe everything down with cleaning wipes, reinstall the floor and put down a layer of this nesting material. The doves are terrible, messy nest builders. A layer of this product makes me feel like the baby birds will be more comfortable and it creates a barrier that catches the waste products which makes the platform easier to clean.

My finches love it. I liked that it's loose fiber and not vacuum packed.

It's good for the parakeets

I like that it's actually real fiber and not fake. Birds can be picky with their nesting materials, but if they allow this, then it's definitely great to use.

My go-to bedding for parakeets. Only complaint is that it's kinda expensive. I mix with wood chips to supplement.
