The eternals end
This is the second and final collection of the original eternals series by Jack Kirby. Much like with the previous volume, I quite enjoyed this one, but your enjoyment will likely depend on your tastes. The art style and overly st time dramatic writing might get on the nerves of someone used to modern comics. Another potential issue is that isn't sent definite end to this title, no resolution to the celestials and deviants and the like. This is definitely the first act of some larger epic, but as is it's abit underwhelming.

Good for it’s time, but doesn’t hold up
Compared to modern comics, the dialogue was corny and uninspired, but this is an essential read for the upcoming movie based on it, so I forced my way through. Without spoiling it, I was unimpressed by the ending, and I’m looking forward to the non-Kirby sequels.

Great Story lines, Marvel at its best.

Worth The Read In Spite Of Greed And Imagination held hostage.
Kirby wraps up his run on this series here- the original run has been collected over two volumes as it kills companies to pull all the issues of one title in color under a single cover; for em- financial reasons. Even though it would be more convenient for readers especially with titles that went for a more brief period of time. So this book only covers the last half- if you like Kirby's work and want all of this title you'll have to search out book one also- or single issues in second hand bins. The story is worth reading but the publishing companies could make it easier and collect all the shorter titles in one book- instead of spreading it out to suck the most possible $ out of peoples nostalgia- considering the books are reprints anyway- so they're making money on top of money for things they already profited on when it was originally published- they could sell more and make it easier on reader if they didn't (as in this case) spread short storylines into multi volumes. It's classic Kirby- and people shouldn't have to struggle to find it- and like many titles it's so short it could have been collected in a single volume; not split just to charge people more when profit was already made during the first publication they could at least make it easier for readers to get the full story at once with titles that have few issues. But it's worth a read if you're a Kirby fan and can tolerate the inflated cost of it on the secondary market- you shouldn't have to go through that; but in some cases it's worth it if it's your only option. As to the work itself- Kirby is a touchstone for many interested in graphic art both for his stories and drawing.

Not the 1977 issue #15
Id like to give it more, the only reason it got 3 is for courteous service, this is not the 70s issue number 15 like the photo portrays even though reading the description tells you by the end 'issues 15 to 19' or whatever is very misleading.

Lost Steam
The Kirby artwork was great, but sometime (probably after the Annual), the story seems to lose its focus. Ideas like the a robotic Hulk attacking really feel a bit random. The story meandered a lot and I can't help but wander if Kirby would have been happier had the option of writing a 12-issue Maxi Series were available. As it is, the book feels like it meanders. Some of the characters do show more development. Otherwise, though, this is a bit of a disjointed close to the early Eternals comics.
