It uses 2 types of foam pads inside.. , styrofoam sandwiched between sponge foam. Sponge foam have approx one inch of thickness. Also added video for reference. i recently purchased sponge foam and styrofoam from wholmarket for making mattress for my bed and find that they are very cheap. I think they can use more sponge in it.

So light weight easily movable.....but not slippery..Looks very sturdy.....Removable cover is also an additional good feature..
