The product description was simple, the delivery date was quite a while and the price was cheap so therefore it must be useless, right?No, actually that was not the case at all.The item was delivered a long time before expected date. You have to fill the ice bags yourself and I didn’t see any information saying how much water to fill. After the first bag it was quite clear to see less was better than more water. The jacket as stated can fit a selection of size people because of the adjustable straps on both sides. A reasonably snug fit holds the ice packs closer to the body therefore working more efficiently. We found the packs last around 4 hours each set and are easy to slot in or replace as required.We had tried another type of cooling jacket first, the sort you dip in water and wear but no matter what the description said it left the wearer soaked to the skin, this was not the case for this one. T-shirt under the jacket didn’t even get damp. My husband has MS and suffers with the heat, slowing him down completely, this vest has been amazing over the last few hot days. There’s no reason this won’t continue in the future.He is very happy with this purchase and we highly recommend trying it. Fabulous item, seller service and price. I have bought another one to have as a spare.

This product is good if you have it on for about 2 hours then after that you will have to change the ice blocks round to the other spare set of ice blocks. A bit fiddly to get the ice packs in onto the back compartments but once in, there fine. They don't drop out of the compartments and pretty comfortable if worn on the outside of your shirt but if worn underneath your shirt, can be a bit uncomfortable. Would have given more stars if the ice block lasted a lot more hours

Useful ice vest for the hot weather. It cools your core temperature down quite effectively. You get 2 sets of 12 ice pouches which you fill with water. Go for half way between the two lines. Unfortunately there were no instructions and I overfilled some of them which were then difficult to fit into the pockets. You could wear it over or under clothing but if you're lying on it it may be too cold. I like to drape it over me when lying in bed. It stays cold for about 4-6 hours.

After working out how to stop the water coming out of the ice packs when it melts (the pack seals once you press it along the top so it didn't leak). It's very messy trying to put the water in the packs as the whole is so small. If you are going to buy this product, don't fill the packs to full as they will not fit in the vest when they are ready to put in the vest.Some of the ice packs were too big to fit in the compartments on the vest and I can imagine, as it's not that well made, the velcro would no longer work to keep them in place.I only wore this vest once and it takes quite a while to put all 12 ice packs in the vest. I found it very heavy to wear and I couldn't pull the tapes tight enough for the 'coolness' to be effective. I wouldn't recommend buying this but what I have found brilliant for keeping cool are cooling towels and a neck fan!

I assume that you freeze the ice bags separately in the holding bag?

This has been a very useful purchase in the recent high temperatures of summer.I did have doubts pre purchase about quality and how well it would work...but was very pleasantly surprised at the good quality and value... for the low priceI have to echo a lot of what other reviewers have noticed.The packs are better only partially filled...as it can be more challenging to fit in a fully filled pack into vest.Though you can defrost the pack partially until it fits in.Securing it tighter increases cooling effect.I found some mini lunchbox freezer blocks which fit perfectly into the pockets ....which means I have a ready refill when the icepacks eventually melt....though they do last a long time.It is more convenient than the cooling vests you soak with water...which I also use.Am wearing it at the moment in a room that's 29C and it helps a lot.Am considering buying a 2nd one as a back up as they are very good.You will need to create space in your freezer for Ice bags...to lay flat..ideally when freezing.Happy customer..

Like the idea but the ice bags are very flimsy and busted 2 putting them in the freezer.If this would have come with ice packs instead of the thin plastic bags. I would have rated it higher.

I have dysautonomia and don't regulate temperature properly so am often boiling hot or freezing cold. Summer is a struggle with overheating so am always looking for things to help. This is really good. It's not the most fashionable item but it does the job. The adjustable straps are good so will fit most people. I'm a big girl and was worried it wouldn't fit but it does. The cool bags are great to take out a spare set of ice packs. The ice packs were a bit fiddly to fill but using a funnel helped make it easier.
