Little Friends Mayfair Gerbilarium Cage with Accessories, 51.5 x 28 x 40 cm

I really enjoyed the aesthetic of this habitat. However, I did find it to be small for my gerbils after continuing to research on appropriate housing. I would recommend doing a larger tank. That being said, I use the cage topper for my current two gallon tank now, as well as the wooden landings and ladders, and my boys love them.

this cage is awesome.The size is great and my gerbil can’t escape from it.The only thing is the wheel is too small so I would recommend replacing it.The price is also very good for this great of a cage.Ive been looking for months for the perfect cage and I finally found it!

I have a rather difficult and highly active singleton gerbil (single by his own doing, trust me) and he loves to be up high. He's always perching on top of his water bottle and doing odd things like that. I thought this would be perfect for him and purchased it in an endeavor to give him more enrichment. However, the base is much too shallow for a gerbil. They love to dig and a substrate that's around 5-6 inches deep is really good for them. I couldn't get anywhere close to that in this enclosure so he was always burrowing down and then scratching at the bottom looking for more space.Another issue with the shallowness was that he was kicking up bedding everywhere. It was constantly all over the floor and there was nothing I could do about it!My last issue is minor but something I didn't think about... The wood on the platforms and ramps is untreated - which it needs to be for their health of course - but a biproduct of that is that when Allen-Poe pees on it, it soaks in and smells bad FOREVER.On a bright note though, I have him in a 30 gallon plastic tub with a hole cut in the lid and use the cage topper part of this setup with the 30 gal base. He seems to love this and has plenty of room for his big wheel and much more burrow space.I think this enclosure would be great for hamsters or mice that are less active or smaller than gerbils. A single gerbils needs at least 15 gallons of space but there is no such thing as too much. Please don't put multiple gerbils in this, LOL.

Such a beautiful habitat! But after two days our darling figured out how to get out of one of the doors and we never saw her again.

Jag valde att ta bort ett hyllplan då jag ville ha plats för ett stort hjul till vår hamster. Inte särskilt svår att att sätta ihop buren. Buren känns dock ganska billig men den verkar ändå okej. Gillar att man kan ha mycket strö i botten.

Cage arrivée cassée mais le vendeur me l'a immédiatement échanger, reçue la nouvelle en 3 jours et cette fois ci en état nickel !!Très agréable pour voir le où les petits rongeurs s'amuser derrière la vitre 👌😊 mes enfants adorent voir leur petit compagnon jouer ainsi !!Je recommande !

Caught my eye when I was looking for a deep cage that a Syrian could burrow in. Received this product extremely quickly and was impressed with how easy it was to assemble. My hamster, Prince, is loving it so far and I've already changed things around in there and added some of my own toys etc. It's easy to move the platforms etc about so you can keep your pet entertained. The only shortfall I would say is the wheel, it is a little too small for a Syrian and also was making quite a lot of noise on the first night so I took it out. Easily replaceable though. I can also tell that when my hammy reaches full size the house will need replacing too. Doesn't come with a water bottle so you will need to get one of those and I have filled the bottom with sawdust and Prince hasn't managed to kick any out of the cage! Overall, I think this is a superb cage, both to look at and in terms of practicality. I would agree with other reviewers that it would be handy for the seller to supply a couple of replacement wooden ramps just as these can go a bit manky over time. Great cage!

Wirklich schöner Käfig. Mir viel Platz für Streu und zum buddeln. Die Etagen und Treppen sind groß und aus Holz, was ich gut finde. Das Plastikzubehör hab ich ausgetauscht. Das mitgelieferte Laufrad ist absolut ungeeignet und das Haus ist leider komplett durchsichtig und damit zum Schlafen ungeeignet. Aber da wusste ich ja vor dem Kauf. Meine Tochter mag den Käfig, weil man durch das Glas das Haustier gut beobachten kann beim buddeln. Mein Mann mag den Käfig, weil sich kein Einstreu mehr am Fußboden ansammelt. Er kam auch gut verpackt und ohne Schäden an. Die Montage ist auch selbsterklärend.
