Liked the doll ...very cute .....it is top heavy. It's has very soft hair that can be tricky to style unless doll is held or taped down on table ... But I liked it.... Good quality , the dolls face is well painted.. NO flaws ... Bends at waist and cloths are permant, NO outfits or shoes to mix and match ....comes with hair barrets that match each dolls style and gems with Velcro on back to decorate hair

Bought this doll for my daughter and she absolutely loved it! The doll comes wrapped in her own hair so it's a surprise which one you're gonna get! The super long, super soft & super yummy smelling hair was the best! My daughter is 6 and found it so easy to create fun braids & twists. Since the hair is super soft, I'd caution against using any styling tools! In fact, you don't even need them because it's so easy to style & doesn't get tangled like other dolls hair.

Bought this for my 6 yr old. She loves it. The hair does pull out, but it wasn't too bad. Just trim it to even it out if you want. The scent obviously doesn't last long, but it's a super cute toy nonetheless.

First off, I just want to say that this review is coming from a young adult. Well, chronologically - mentally, not so much, ahaha. ^^' I'm also not a parent or anything, so this is a different point of view than most of the reviews here.I love these little dolls! They're really cute, and they're really fun and easy to braid. I enjoy styling doll hair, so I ended up buying two of the BFF 2-packs and one mystery doll (I received Kelly Bean). I like the packaging a lot, and I don't usually say that -- sometimes it's a pain -- but these open pretty easily and they don't have any tags, elastics, tape, etc. Pretty frustration-free.When you open the doll, all you see is, frankly, a ball of hair. It's kind of funny actually. In the packaging you can see the hair color only, once opened, you have to unravel the doll from her own hair.They come with six "locks". The hair is really soft, and does sort of feel like cotton candy, or stuffing. It should be treated delicately though. If you pull too hard, the hair could come out. I wanted to do something more intricate with the hair, so I parted one of the locks into three, to make smaller braids. While you can part the hair, it won't stick back together, so just be aware of that. I don't plan to style the hair of mine more than maybe once or twice -- both because I feel like it wouldn't hold up to excessive styling, and because I'm a little too proud of my styling work to take it down. Heh.Here are a few more things about the hair that I should make note of:- Do not brush it. These are meant to be styled, not brushed. A brush would absolutely destroy their hair. And you really don't have to brush their hair to begin with. It stays pretty neat, but may shed a little if you split the locks into several parts.- Do not wash it. I haven't washed or brushed mine, I just feel like washing it wouldn't be very smart.- The hair can easily attract certain things, like bits of leaves, tiny bits of dead grass, dirt, etc. Keep them in a relatively neat place.- Most of the hair accessories that come with these are things like pins and possibly clips. There are little gem hair accessories I got with my doll, and they are supposed to attach with a velcro backing. These don't really hold very well and might mess up the hair a little bit. The plastic pins work nicely within braids.While the hair can somewhat hold a braid without a tie, I personally recommend that you buy small hair ties for the ends. I used the little elastics for loom bracelets since those are small. This isn't really a necessary thing, but if you want a more secure braid, then yeah.The actual dolls themselves are really cute, even though they're pretty simple and straightforward. Molded clothing (usually matches whatever sweet theme that particular doll has). They're able to sit, and move their arms a little, though both arms move at once, so arm positioning is a little limited. It doesn't really matter though, since the doll's hair is the main focus.I particularly like how they have face paint / makeup like sprinkles, hearts, etc.Their heads rotate. Their heads are also kind of "hollow", as in, you can see where the plastic molding ends at the scalp and where the cotton candy hair is tied to the inside. If that bothers you, you can always just wrap some of the hair around to disguise it. Voila. Also this probably doesn't have to be said, but, these dolls are VERY top-heavy.These don't really have much of a scent though. Some of the dolls I got had a very faint scent, but it's just vaguely sweet, and hard to tell what the scent is supposed to be. You really have to sniff the doll up close to notice anything, and it sort of dissipates after they've been out of the box for a while, which is kind of a shame. Oh well. I would've liked it if they had a stronger, long-lasting scent.Final thing I would like to say: I wouldn't give these to a small child. Actually, the box says they're for age five and up... I'd say they're more appropriate for an older kid. Maybe like eight. Think about how rough your kid is on toys before going out and buying these. If they're young or are just rougher with their toys in general, I wouldn't recommend it. These are pretty delicate and can't have their hair pulled or anything like that.If your kid can be gentler with their toys and enjoy braiding, buy them a few of these, they have their flaws but I really like them and I'm definitely getting more.

This is very cute and helps with practicing with hair for little kids. The doll or hair was not sented at all that was disappointing. The hair does pull apart from it's self easily on the ends and probably from the head a child was to be even a little ruff it would come out . I don't advise letting them brush it or getting it wet at all it would come out most definitely . So overall not really as advertised but cute and it was half price at Christmas so wasn't a total loss .

The doll was a hit at Christmas. Nice scent. !!The gift for my granddaughter made her so happy the smell. Made it even better !The price of doll is on point and delivery was fast.

This is a darling toy and my child loves it. It smells good and there are many accessories. It is easy to braid and take apart and style again. I highly recommend!

I ordered 3 different sets of Candylocks for my niece 's Birthday. They arrived nicely packaged and I'm sure she will love them.
