Easy install, have to let water run through a few times, but no problems.

The Kenmore water filter is exactly as described and very easy to install. It pricier than most other water filters but it is an OEM filter after all. I removed the old water filter from my fridge and no water leaks. Installed the new filter and flushed out about 1-2 gallons of water through it and then held the water filter reset button for 3 seconds to reset it. The whole process took about 5-10 minutes. I could have bought a cheaper filter, but I knew this one would fit correctly and would filter water better. Like the saying goes, you get what you pay for!

Have been buying this since sears went out of busniess and this fits great, does a great job filtering the fridge water. I have a Kenmore refrigerator and this last 6 months or so. I buy this frequently, and will continue to do so.

Very easy to install and the water taste fresh and refreshing.

The unit distributes water about half the stream of the old one that was removed. Seems like it is plugged although it it new one would not think that would happen. But, I am not one bit happy with it and I have not had trouble with replacements before.

This price can’t be beat

The Sears Kenmore filter is a bit pricey but it does an excellent job. It clearly outperforms other less expensive filters. I always used the Kenmore filter, but one time I thought I would save a few bucks and tried another less expensive brand filter and was extremely disappointed in the taste and quality of the water . So I made the switch back to the Kenmore brand filter and immediately noticed a huge difference in the taste and quality of the water. I'm staying with Kenmore filter from now on as the few bucks I saved on the cheaper brand just wasn't worth it.I'm all for saving money but in this case it is true that you get what you pay for.So if you have a Kenmore Fridge and are looking to replace your water filter, do yourself a favor and stay with the original equipment that it came with.Update to my original review of this Kenmore fridge filter:I have purchased this filter several times in the past and have always been very satisfied with the quality of the water. Not so much anymore! I recently purchased a new filter from Amazon and installed as usual. Ran approximately 3-4 gallons thru it to purge the filter ( as usual ) I am totally disappointed! Where in the past this filter has always performed perfectly and delivered fresh clean tasting water, I am now getting water with a nasty foul chemical taste to the water! I am not happy with this.I don’t know what has changed because this filter has always performed perfectly for me in the past. Extremely unhappy and am now going to have to find a suitable replacement.
