Just get this instead of trying to make something. It works well for what it is. It does have a little bit of play when the stock is folded out straight though.... could be tighter, but you could probably fix that fairly easily.

I bought two of these, handy to have around.Used this for ATI SKS stock that did not fold correctly. This solved the problem.Also works for the Ram-Line no- folding stocks for the SKS, Mini-14 and 10-22 . Works well for that application also, just a bit more work to install.

Minor modification required for installation and some play from block fitment but does the job.

Folded the stock. Definitely some play about half inch.

Installed this correctly. It is hard not to. When the stock is locked open there is alot of play. I ended up putting back on the original piece to make it a fixed stock. There is no way to shoot safely when your stock has an inch play in it!
