Sour and delicious!!
So obviously we’ve got a mix of opinions here. Scrolling through I read “On a scale of 1-10 these are only a 3”, and “I love sour, but wow these are too sour” among many other varied comments. So, to throw my Opinion Hat in the ring: These things are so delicious I could cry. My grandpa always had them stocked at his house growing up, and they were all over the place in the part of Texas I’m from. Now, I’m in Tennessee and most don’t even know what these are or that they exist. Someone made a comment, “sour pickles? Oh yeah we get those at Sam’s.” They were referencing dill pickles. 🤦🏽♀️I love these things! Can’t wait until my next order comes in.Also to people saying they taste like plastic: so confusing, no idea what they’re talking about, never have I ever tasted even a hint of plastic with these. Maybe a secret anti-plastic group trying to boycott plastic products? Haha

Tastes almost rancid
Let's start with the jar, it does not seal very well. Upon initial opening, I was concerned that the inner seal might have leaked, but it seemed intact. The jar does not feel like it closes tightly enough. Now as far as the taste, terrible! They are very sour, that's true, and if the brine was a bit brighter/fresher tasting, they would be great, but the only taste you get is that of very old, stale vinegar. and salt. You can't taste anything else. The stale, almost musty vinegar is so strong that the sourness can activate your cough/gag reflex. A good sour pickle should be vinegary but not so overwhelming. And the saltiness only enhanced the slightly rancid flavor. You can't taste any other spices nor even the pickle itself. The texture leaves a lot to be desired also. The skin has a firm snap, but the inside is total mush, horrible mouth feel. The jar was not inexpensive, so I won't dispose of the pickles, I will simply find ways to incorporate them into other recipes where the foul taste can be masked.

Arrived Safely, Tastes like Nistalgie
Ordered two gallon jars. The box was almost destroyed, but both made it to me with no breaks or leaks! Taste just how I remember them as a kid 🤤With how many pickles they shove in the packages, half of one was out of the brine at the top. Had to throw it away. Got a feeling that a lot of the people who had a super mushy pickle probably had that issue. Pickled stuff gotta stay in the brine to stay fresh, so if one isn't fully submerged might be worth throwing it out. Still 0 complaints though.

Absolutely obsessed
If you don’t like really potent sour tastes, don’t buy this. Personally they are the best pickles i have ever had. They’re sour enough to bring tears to my eyes and my mouth waters just thinking about these! I absolutely love these pickles. They’re a good size, crunchy, and they taste just like the concession stand pickles i remember as a kid

Disappointing
I had bought these pickles in a jar at a local supermarket. They were exactly what I wanted. I grew up with sour vinegar type pickles and loved when I found them in the deli dept in the supermarkets. Since the Pandemic that has stopped. But I found this brand at the local Aldi. They were wonderful. When I went back they no longer carried them. I was tickled when I found them on Amazon and bought a large jar. They taste funny. Almost as if they didn't rinse the cleaning agent from the plastic jar. I don't know if the taste is there because it's in plastic and not in glass, or if it was because they were delivered in the heat and it somehow affected something in the plastic that leached into the pickles. On another note, the jar is clearly marked 18-22 pickles. There were only 14, but good sized, so while not the number stated, it was okay. The jar said to refrigerate once open but it was too large to fit in my fridge so I had to transfer the pickles and brine to another sealable bowl. The only disappointing thing is that funky taste and smell which I'm finding hard to get around. I've popped them in the fridge hoping that once really chilled it will dissipate. If not well I won't be buying them again.
