ALPINE Hand made genuine vintage full grain leather watch strap with quick release spring bars - Black, Bown, Tan - 20 mm, 22 mm, 24 mm

I bought two of these, the one in the photies is the blue and, as seen, is a great match for the blue face and bezel on the watch fitted with the strap. I've also bought the brown strap, mostly because I have lots of pieces with a 20mm yoke width, but also because the brown one looks pretty decent on the same watch. [The brown strap] also works well on at least three other 20mm pieces. The quality is excellent, I have bought a couple of other Alpine straps before now, yet I was still delighted to see that, if anything, the quality on these ones is even better which suggests that the manufacturer is aiming somewhat upmarket now, and they're succeeding. I couldn't resist trying the blue one (pictured above) for its resistance to water as this was a main reason for my choosing these straps. I needn't have worried as both straps fend off water, even when there's a bit of hand-wash residue in the said water, perfectly. Any water that lands on the straps beads up immediately, just like the rain on the paintwork of a freshly waxed car. The straps were dried off with gentle use of a hand towel, which proved that neither strap had absorbed any water, not even along the potentially vulnerable edges where the leather is sealed. This can be a weak spot in lesser straps but these remained dry and didn't subsequently ooze water or leave their dye on my skin. Definitely suitable to be used with a dive watch, I have to recommend these thick, beautifully crafted straps for their superb quality, their pleasing appearance and also for the way in which these straps feel soft on the skin, very comfortable in fact, even after only around 36 hours of wearing - roughly half of that time with each colour - the straps felt lovely. Sum up: Aesthetically pleasing, manufactured to a very high quality, comfortable and genuinely capable of withstanding immersion in a basin of lukewarm water, even though that water contained trace amounts of handwash. Also excellent value for money. There are cheaper straps out there, but not at this level of quality, in my experience. Those budget brands might be fine on lighter watches than the heavy beast in my photies, but these Alpine straps would be as much at home on a watch worth tens of thousands of Pounds as they are on my budget oriented timepiece seen modelling the blue strap today. Don't buy cheap, if you do you'll buy again and end up spending more of your hard earned currency. Equally, many far more costly straps don't cut the mustard either, buy Alpine, you won't regret doing so. Cheers, Jaye ××

Leather sports style watch strap with quick release system making it an easy fit without the need for fiddly tools that is great quality. the leather is not to stiff making it comfortable to wear and looks fantastic. this has totally transformed the overal look and wearing experience of one of my favorite watches.

The strap is well made and from good materials, the finishing looks excellent. Main issue with the strap is the question of value, although it looks and feels like a quality strap, the end price paid feels a little high as the strap itself is priced reasonably but when the cost of delivery is added, it may have been better investing in a more expensive / luxury strap, delivery charge was approx 33% of the price of the strap which significantly reduces the value of the strap (imho).

Very nice watch strap. Arrived within 24h hours. I bought the dark brown, 22mm version, and I'm pretty pleased with it. The leather is nice and thick, yet supple enough to be comfortable. The sporty styling and brushed SS buckle are a great match with my Orient Kamasu diver, and I suspect it would look great on my SKX, 5KX and Vostok. The quick release springbars work great, and were on both parts of the strap. (another review said they only had on one side, perhaps this is no longer a problem) I love that I can switch this easily between my (far too many) watches. I will deffinatley be ordering more as they are very reasonably priced.

Thick leather watch strap, seems very hard wearing. Comfortable, looks good, easy to put on

Looks like a poor imitation. I've bought these Alpine International straps before and they were of reasonable quality, with branded packaging. This one just came in a plain plastic wrapper and the strap is very poor quality. It looks like something you'd buy on Temu for £2 or £3. Doesn't even look like the photos, it's almost a suede effect rather than shiny leather.

Honestly blown away! Leather is a superior quality to the factory issue on my £3000 tudor! A £15 strap and this good is amazing. Leather grain is strong, thickness is good and not flimsy by any means. Fits solidly in lugs with provided fitted quick release spring bars and very robust. I needed something decent to trust on this watch and box is well and truly ticked. Very pleased with this item well done amazon.
