Was as advertised
I my old 45 wore out I replaced it with this 5t. I just took the old 45 shaft off leaving the bracket the 55 fit the ole 45 bracket perfect and has a lot more power!

Small but Powerful.
Had trouble with the outboard engine. Had to use the trolling motor to get us back to chore. 3 grown men on top off that. But the trolling motor got us to shore.

defective shaft grip knob on my new Edge 55
the shaft grip knob sheared apart during initial adjustment of the shaft setting on my just delivered new Edge 55 trolling motor. Also I had to wire the motor to a new console plug since the motor came without a plug. Now I have large knot of wires on my boat deck that had to be put together with wire nuts. Motor should come with a choice of plug options as well with just the wires.
