Used carefully it allows a phone to sit conveniently attached to your car dashboard air vent.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. This phone bracket slides further open to accommodate most phones including my Samsung Galaxy J3 (J320A) which is slighter larger than an iPhone 6 but smaller than a 6S. The part that slides has a strong spring action so it grips your phone firmly so it won't slip out. In this regard the bracket is a total winner. The only thing you need to watch out for is how strong are the little slats on your car's dashboard air vents. Typically, the slats are not heavy duty plastic or metal, Usually, they are kind of thin plastic slats. So, be careful to get your phone into the bracket BEFORE you push the bracket onto the air vent . That way you don't put excessive strain the air vent slats.

Chump Change For A Seemingly Quality Device
I'm pleasantly surprised. The item is somewhat heavy and seems well made. I've had one 20 mile drive (including a VERY bumpy section of dirt road) and the clip stayed exactly where I placed it. So far, So good.To address a few of the questions I've seen about this item:-The item works by sliding apart on a spring, bringing the jaw together to hold the phone. The spring seems very strong and sturdy thus far.-The rear connection is made of silicone or rubber, and works by sliding over the vane in the airvent. I'm not sure how long this part is going to hold up. If it breaks or tears I will be back to change my review.-I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 in an Otterbox Defender Case. Not lightweight by any means. This mount held it during the test run without any movement or slippage. Not sure if I would put an unsecured phone in this item or not. It would...probably...be fine, but I wouldn't trust my expensive device to it until I'd tried it out with something that isn't "mission critical".The item came drop shipped from China by way of Malaysia and took several weeks. If you are in a hurry this probably isn't the item you want to purchase. But the price is definitely right. Now, if it holds up...EDIT: Several months in and the holder is working fine. I was worried about what would happen as the weather warmed up but it's staying in place like a trooper. The rubber hasn't degraded in the sun (which is an issue as I live in the desert), the spring is still plenty tight even though I remove and remount my phone several times daily. DEFINITELY worth the almost ridiculously low price. I'd certainly buy one of these again and have recommended them to several people.

Useful, Everyday Product
I use this practically every day in my car. I will warn to be careful in how you push it in; at first it didn't seem to be very tight, so I kept moving it around till it was snug. A few months later I had to take out out and it had cracked my air vent fin. Apparently it was not in properly and constantly putting my phone in and out caused too much pressure. Also, after a while it seemed to loosen up and my phone would fall to the side and not stay straight up. I flipped it around so it is working now, but I know that side will wear out too. But given the price I paid and having used it heavily for 9 months, it has lasted and served me well.

Easy to be Hands Free
I had purchased a product almost exactly like this from a big box department store for way more money. This is such a great phone holder because it attaches to your car vent without the need for tape or any extra parts. It's small and convenient so it's hardly noticeable when your phone is not installed. There's no reason not be hands free when your driving and this is the tool to use. I purchased based on price and functionality, even though I usually only buy Amazon prime items, it was worth waiting for. I would definitely purchase this item again.

not as pictured. Doesn't work.
not usable. Not as pictured. No rubber on the "L" shaped side. Phone pops out at a stand still just from the clamping force. The round side wasn't as pictured either. different bumper. Super smooth. No "grip" at all. Slick nylon. Also, compared to my other vent clips, this one has a pretty weak grip.My phone is fairly large, so there's a bit of expectation of being on the more extreme end pushing the limits.BUT, my girlfriend has an iphone 5s with a rubber cover. It won't hold that tiny thing either

Not bad for the price.
Works as intended a little weak for how I drive though. Sometimes tilts on it's own not being able to go against the force when I take a hard corner. Holds onto the vent well and so far hasn't lost grip from the vent or have little to none play. The rotation is weak like I said but should be fine for normal driving. I like how it keeps my phone cooled but might not be so good in the winter time when you blast the heat. The sides could've been a little longer to grip bigger phone cases but I like seeing my phone with out a case so I don't mind.

Fine for a while
I bought acfew of these when they were around $2 each. But they all fell apart within a couple months. The piece on the back that clips onto the vent also wore out & sent my phone flying down to the floor after a few weeks. This time I will spend a few dollars more for one that will hopefully last a bit longer.

Pretty decent
I didn't want to spend a fortune on a mount for my phone, but I also didn't feel comfortable getting anything magnetic in case it damaged my phone. For my purposes, this mount worked just fine. It adjusts to any phone with the slider, and it keeps it still no matter if I'm driving over speed bumps. My only complaint is that if I adjust it in any way, it usually detaches from the air vent. It's easy to slide back on, so it's not a major nuisance. Plus, if I want to skip a song or modify my GPS address, it stays put, too, so I can't really complain. Also, be warned: this DOES block the air vent. I put it on the passenger vent so I can still get air flow, and it works just fine.Update: I've just discovered I can turn the mount horizontally. This allows me to keep my phone upright instead of sideways. When I mount it this way, it does NOT block the air vent at all. In fact, I prefer mounting my phone upright because some applications don't automatically tilt the phone screen, so it makes it harder to navigate while driving.
