FYI, if you’re considering getting these, be aware that the overall fit, finish, and packaging of these feels like a set of samples you’d get in order to test-drive the product instead of the actual product, itself.These are super affordable, but some of the gels are SO thin that I felt like they may tear just trying to get the included silicone band over them. These feel like they’re only meant to be used a couple times in order to get a feel for the possibility of ordering some kind of hardier gels.That said, what you see is what you get. These are very portable, and the included cards give great detail on how much light-loss can be expected when using each of them.I have not scientifically measured their accuracy, but at a glance, it looks like a very good starting point for people wanting quite technical results in their photos.The whole package is roughly the size of a checkbook, albeit a little thicker, and is very portable. I would say that slapping these on your flash requires a little bit of finesse to prevent tearing or rumpling them.Creases shouldn’t effect their efficacy, but may limit the number of uses you’ll get out of each gel, and I suppose they could cast weird shadows over your subjects, but I doubt they’ll effect the outcome that much.The warmer color set produces some very interesting vintage color effects, so that alone makes these worth the price.

The media could not be loaded.  I have used these filters for a couple of shoots now and I can say that they are great. Maybe not the best quality, but you definitely get the best value for the price. Let's face it, the big appeal of these gels is the price. For only $11 you get a good amount of gels for your speedlite that are easy to use and transport.The gels themselves are easy to use. Just place them in front of your speedlite and put a rubber band around it. You can easily mix and match the colors to create different effects. I like to use multiple colors with different lights to have two colors for each side. Very handy for creative portraits.The only issue I have with the gels are the bag and the rubber band that came with the gels. The bag barely holds the filters and the velcro used to close the bag do not match so you can't really close it well. The rubber band is not very elastic so it's not easy to use with one hand. This can be easily solved by using regular rubber bands.

Gels are great. In the visual arts, color theory is a body of practical guidance to color mixing and the visual effects of a specific color combination. There are also categories of colors based on the color wheel: primary color, secondary color and tertiary color.Using this gels you can use as primary or secondary or tertiary .We can trick the camera also. Some times I use CTO gel ( color temperature orange ) and keep the white balance in the camera for 3200k (or depending on the ambiance, close to florescent) . The flash with CTO will be hitting subject’s nose at 45 degree angle. This usually create a blue background with original skin tone with out changing the color because of CTO .It can be done in other way also. By keeping the color temperature 10000k (or close to tungsten depending on sunlight and ambiance) and using CTB color temp blue, it creates a background with warmer color with skin tone not changing .Like this we can experiment with many color as this product comes with many gels. One more trick I use when I have lot of trees and plants in the background is, I put a green gel on my Godox flash with zoom 20mm and power 1/64. The greenery looks much greener to the eyes because of the GelDefinitely worth the price.Flaws : user experience is not great . Taking out gel and keeping another gel will consume two minutes . In the middle of shoot if you want to change your flash positions , camera settings and flash gels, better have an assistant.One major disadvantage is if you are using garryfong or any sort of diffuser . The rubber holder which they give is quite thick . It’s nearly impossible to use diffusers or garryfong with this rubber holder.Find your ways though: I use rubber bands , thin hair bands or double sided tapes .Creativity has no limit .Thanks

These are pretty great, actually. I was a bit hesitant to buy them. Was thinking they may be too cheap to be worth it. But I was wrong. The quality you get is great and the price is even better. They seemed thin too the touch at first. I thought I would rip them but they are actually very durable too. Fits over my canon speed lights perfectly. I even combined some. Also work great for putting over flashlights to do light painting. The only problem you will run into is the need for two of the same gels at once. You will eventually want two, so just don't wait and buy two packs first. I have two flashes and I wish I had just bought them both at once rather than being curious of the quality first. They are great! This is a honest review after paying full price btw.

I dont like giving negative reviews, maybe this will help the vendor improve the product. The cost is low/reasonable, it is just cut out plastic in a sleeve. the design of rubber bands are a nice touch, especially with the tabs to help position them on the flash. the colors of the gels are useable. the real negative is the pouch itself, ridiculously design; it's just barely good enough. The pouch is not exactly frustrating, but not terribly helpful.

Wished they included a color wheel but other than that loved the product and packaging. These are durable as well. Ripped off gaffing tape with no tearing or creasing. Stood up well with my Profoto modeling lights set to minimum.

These are the perfect size for my speedlight and smaller photo lights. Yhe pouch is very handy too as it has a few organizer cards and those are helpful. Would recommend.

Big range of colours - adds extra interest to a portrait. The gels fit any normal-sized rectangular speedlight. I just use an elastic band instead of the supplied rubber band because my speedlight head is a bit narrow.
