Design Toscano English Rosette Indoor/Outdoor Sculptural Garden Plinth Base Statue Riser, Large 13 Inch Tall, Cast Stone Resin, Antique Stone Finish

This item is quite smaller than expected, but it's a nice addition to my little garden. I had to elevate it a little bit with a square cement brick. The packing material that the seller used (i.e., Styrofoam) made a helluva lot of mess while trying to take the item out of the box. So, I suggest buyers should open the box outdoors. I previously mentioned this issue when I purchased some other items from Design Toscano, but the seller still continues to use the same material for packing products. Styrofoam should be banned entirely for shipping all consumer goods. I am quite satisfied with the design and quality of this product. Delivery was faster than initially scheduled. But Amazon is rather tardy in updating the shipping news.

I received this a day earlier than promised and I was impressed with the craftsmanship. It looks like it's masonry but it's not. Accurate weight etc. Remember it's just less than a foot tall but it's all I needed. I used Locktite PL3 PREMIUM adhesive to bond it to the 12" paver steps and used the adhesive to bond my eagle to the pedestal. However, the top width dimensions are not correct. It's only 8.5 inches wide. It sits next to my 25' by 4" tapered estate flagpole. Perfect.

I had a small statue that I wanted to put in our garden, but it was too small and was getting “swallowed” by the plants. I wanted to find something durable, inexpensive, but that looked like it has been in our garden for decades. This is perfect. It is lightweight enough to move without any trouble at all, but heavy enough to stay exactly where I want it. It completed the garden, and it’s just so cool I’m debating getting another one for a different spot.

You know it's nice enough for what it does, but I feel it's about 30% over priced.

I have bought three statues from Design Toscano that I use in my classroom for teaching art history. In trying to keep to a budget, I had always neglected to get a plinth. I didn't think it was necessary. But I finally bought two on these, so that the heights would be similar. I cannot believe the transformation. Putting the statue on a plinth makes it easier for everyone to see the object. But it also better recreates the original statue. It is worth noting that most publicly-displayed art in set on a plinth or pedestal nearly as tall as the work itself. It is easy to understand why. I will buy more statues in the future. And I will always buy one of these with it.

Going for the European garden look, and this fig the bill. Lovely!

I love this product with the English Rose. I bought it with the large Goddess of Water statue. Unfortunately it is too small for the base of the statue. It wasn't obvious to me that would be the case as Amazon suggests customers buy them together. Also the colour is different than the statue ( a greenish hue) I like it so I will keep it . I wish the manufacturer would indicate which plynths fit each of their statues both in colour and size.
