Funky Chunky Furniture 6x2 Rustic Chunky Wooden Floating Shelf, Light Oak, 160cm

Bought to go over a small radiator and below a matching hallway mirror. It's a lump of stained wood with two floating-screw fixing holes so I wasn't expecting too much, but in hindsight I should've save a few quid and made it myself as you can buy the floating shelf screws on Amazon for just under £2 each including postage. More functional than great looking but it does the job.

Was looking forward to a shelf that would be individual and 'rustic' enhancing my living room. What arrived was like a piece of left-over lumber with no straight edges or planes. Completely unsuitable as a furniture item. Have returned it for a refund, but am not getting the hefty return postage back, as Seller insists that it was correctly described, which is stretching the limits of credibility. Will stick to items that are slightly less 'cabin in the woods rustic' and rather proper furniture. Shame, as it looked good in the photo.

This is the second Funky Chunky shelf I've bought. This, less 'blocky' than the previous one (which was very good), uses a different mounting system to the keyhole system of the other one. It's cleverly designed - allowing a stable fit without the need for additional screws to fix the shelf to the brackets. I bought this as a mantle shelf to place above the wood burner. Oak, 130cm wide; it looks good and is much cheaper than many other mantle shelf options.
