Smart Garden Dill Plant Pods, 9-Pack

This grew great. Using for pickles.

Dill is something that is used in a variety of dishes and so wanted to get this. It came as advertised and timely. If you have the particular planter for growing these, they are great. It takes a few days to see growth and probably about a little over a week to have something to use. Though 2 weeks would have a significant growth.

All 3 were duds. I had them in the hydroponic system for 4 weeks without even a sprout. Pods I’ve gotten through the website have been fine.

Some reviewers commented on the "mold" in the pods. It is NOT mold - it's part of the organic soil mixture for best growing conditions. Every herb I started in my Click and Grow developed great and I was able to transplant them easily. The 4 stars is because there are no instructions or information on herb pod packaging. As a complete beginner, I had to buy a book on how to grow herbs to know how to transplant, what conditions the various herbs liked best, and when and how to harvest. A simple sheet giving basic planting, growing, and harvesting information would be really nice. I definitely got dill.

Once C&G made dill pods available I purchased a pod pack to try and have found that, of all of the plants I've grown in my Smart Gardens over the past 3 years, the dill is the most rewarding. I've loved delicate, feathery dill for most of my life but the quality of what's available in most markets isn't up to my standards. Now every day I snip off a few sprigs (quite a few, actually) and after I add the Sir Kensington's Organic Mayo I completely cover a slice of one of the world's most nutritious rye breads w/them. ONLY THEN do I add the meat to my sandwich, such a simple pleasure. I've been growing their parsley since my first Smart Garden and currently have 6 of those happily basking under the lights. So the next time I order pod packs I'm definitely getting much more dill. I may even subscribe to be sure of getting enough! haha

Initial purchase with Basil was delightful and all three pods grew quickly. After several months I transplanted it to a large pot and ordered three Dill pods since several items such as Thyme were sold out. My order arrived quickly and I popped in the new pods and waited. Sad to say only one pod produced a plant. The other two pods nothing and then molded. My first experience was a solid five but the Dill was sad.

Great for my clickngrow ! Easy to use and when you purchase through Amazon you don't have to buy too many pods at one time.
