Haldirams - Soan Papdi 250Gms, Sweet, 8.75 Ounce

i bought this late at night because i saw a video of it being made on facebook, and let me tell you ... it did not disappoint! i had very few expectations as to what it was or what it would taste like, and if i were to try to describe it, i can only say its like a cross between shortbread and halvah. its sweet and buttery like shortbread, but crumbly and flaky like halvah, and the nuts provide a really nice textural contrast. it is very sweet (it is a sweet after all lol) but it is flavorful and pleasant and if you are at all adventurous and looking for something new to try, i very very highly recommend this. it was packaged well, the outer box was wrapped in cellophane, the tray inside the box was wrapped in a heavy duty heat sealed bag, and the tray itself had a heat sealed top. it was super fresh tasting, i did not have any concerns whatsoever about it having gone "off" as a result of exposure to air, it was very, very well wrapped. there were 8 pieces in the box, which were each a little bit bigger than 1 inch square (or about 3 1/2 centimetres square). overall, i am extremely happy with my purchase and will probably purchase again.

Delicious! This is the best brand of boxed Soan Papdi. It arrives fresh and tastes great.

I saw this product (different brand) on a commercial for Universal Yums. Its a delivery box with ethnic foods you get monthly. Anywho I wanted to try something they sampled- so I looked this up and Amazon had it! Its a very interesting treat. You get the flavor of the cardamom right away. Its rich too, so you can't eat too much at once. The texture is like something between fiberglass and packed sand which we really thought was fun. I am very glad we tried it! S

I had dreams about this delight, and am so glad I found it again. Delicious, but a small amount is all you need. This box lasted quite some time because I rationed myself.

The individual pieces are stuck together and it is impossible to get them out without them falling apart. I did like the packaging, the tray was sealed and inside another sealed bag inside the box.

I tried other brands (other than Haldiram's), but this is very delicious. Recommended..! Better to order big packs 500gm or 1kg.

昔日本でも、トルコの【ピシユマニエ】というお菓子が購入できました。 日本の綿菓子にも似た不思議なお菓子でした。 最近になってどうしても食べたくなり、いろいろ探しましたが見つかりません。 そこで、似たお菓子を見つけました。 このお菓子は、トルコのお菓子よりも味が濃厚な感じがいたします。 バターやひよこ豆の量が多いのかもしれません。 カルダモンの風味も強いです。 最近通販で、トルコのピシユマニエを購入できました。 お菓子よりも、飛行機の空輸代の方が高くつきました。 なので、約半額で購入できるこちらのお菓子はありがたいです。
