Plant NannySpiral Fluted Watering Globe & Stake Set (24 oz, Clear)

I was hoping these would be the solution to keeping planters watered while gone over a 2-3 day period. The instructions say to loosen the hole the stake is in if the soil "draws" too much water, but they still run through the water very quickly, like over 12-18 hours, EVEN if the soil is very wet (on a rainy day).7-1-16:. I think i found a solution! I put one tablespoon (No more!) miracle gro water storage crystals Into the installed Terra cotta stake. Added water until they are completely plumped and fill up to 1" below the top of the stake. They will seal the flow of water from the globe but absorb it slowly as they release it to a drying out stake. I tried this when adding the crystals into holes in the soil. It has worked for me, anyway, and kept my plants from drying out for 6 days away.

Love these! These work great in our large inside pots and for the pots on our front porch. The glass is very nice looking and so much better than those ugly Aqua Globes! I refill each globe once a week and that's it! I never water the plant itself and all our pots look great. Prior to having these, I would over/under water our plants and could easily kill a plant. Not a problem now as each plant only takes the water as it needs it.

This item is very pretty and is working very well for my purposes. I am concerned if it were to be bumped if it would fall off the cone.

Water doesn't last nearly as long as other Plant Nanny products but looks far better. Good for everyday watering not sure about vacation.

Hello :) This not only works like a charm, but the glass is very very well made and makes for such a nice decorative addition to our huge pots we have out back :) It will definitely help you in keeping your plants alive especially if you are like me and do not do your daily plant maintenance :)
