Amazing product.
This is by far a better and more forgiving product than most other finishes I have used in the past. It brushes on like a stain, without a lot of weeping, it isnt runny but also not incredibly thick, and the color is amazing. It makes the grain pop, and I like it so much I am using it on indoor furniture now too. My spar varnish and varathane are collecting dust now.

Excellent product, excellent results
Love this product! I used it on 40 year old teak handrails on my boat and applied five coats. It looks spectacular!! I thinned the first coat as the instructions recommended. Later coats were thinned 0-10% to improve brushing qualities depending on the outside temperature. Lay thin coats and don't overwork the paint. I tried several brushes including China Bristle and hands down the best results were with Jen Manufacturing foam brushes. Props to TotalBoat for another great product at a great price!

Total boat, 1968 total boat re paint job
This was my first time ever doing bright work, im happy with how it turned out.. That said do your research how to lay varnish, it will save you time, and a headache. But honestly experience is the best teacher. Coming from a green horn, this is what I would recommend~ sand wood down well, apply your stain ( if desired) then lay down a thin coat, that is thinned say up to 50 percent, then once dry lay down another coat but thinned only 25 percent, let dry then lay down a full strength coat, when dry wet sand all the buggers out of it with a super fine grit wet sand, once dry lay one more full coat, and you will be on your way, and folks will be amazed at your work. Note dust is the enemy!!! I mean this get rid of as much dust you can. Also after the final coat is dry , let it sit in sun to cure it and Harden it up some, then hit it with a good hand polish in circle motion, this will help hide buggers even more :)I am in the works of the painting my 1968 30ft wood Owens cabin cruiser. I will be using all total boat products for the whole project. I will try to post pics of all the other work, to show off total boat product line.I've also have redone my moms old wood table, with this wood finish, and she is tickled at how beautiful it looks :)Note~ I am note endorsed by total boat, but if they could send me about half a dozen more of their 1 quarts paint cups that would help a lot , as I will be showing off what a green horn, can do with their line up. I could have choose any paint interlux etc... But thought I would give the old boys over at Jamestown distributer some business and great advertisement.

Works great on weathered teak.
I used this product on teak benches that have been outside for about ten years. After cleaning them up, and applying the (thinned) product by brush, I am impressed. I have only put on one coat so far, but the benches look good and I look forward to putting on additional coats. Yes, it is pricey, but the real cost is in your labor. I will buy more as the need arises.

Probably good for teak but not what I was after for plywood.
I needed something to seal up a piece of marine plywood used as a bench seat quickly so I gave this a try. For that purpose it was not great- it actually looks pretty nice but it stays gummy and tacky, and it is easily scraped off with a fingernail. I definitely should have used something more like a marine epoxy. I can see how this would be a nice coating/finish for teak, though, but I don't know if I'd use it on something that was likely to be handled or sat on.
