Motorola Grip Shell for Moto G - Retail Packaging - White + Black TPU

I would have loved my Moto G with out this shell. I Love it even more with it. This shell is so damn nice. You have no idea how nice it is. Because its a back plate for the Moto and not a skin, it fixes all the problems of buying one of these for your phone. It does not increase the phones weight or thickness. it does not take away from the phones feel. it only adds a little bit of width, thats it.What really got me was the white part, its plastic, not rubber. The black is the rubber. This was so great. the phone still feels like a phone and you still have the grip protection on the sides. It feels so good in the hands. Its well made. Looks great. Feels great. The only thing I would change is add a couple millimeters to the protrusion on the front. However as I can not find a drop test that uses this product, I cant even say if it needs it. So I cant take off anything for that.If you have a Motorola Moto of any kind and you dont have this, you are missing out.Also bought a black one because I loved the white so much. I plan to use my Moto for a long time and want to be sure I have a backup shell for it. The black is very sleek.

This is a replacement back for the Moto G (and the later 4G variant).It works very well. I purchased the boring black and the blue/green one. It fits very well and offers some protection. This isn't meant to be a military grade protector item, just offer a bit for peace of mind. The buttons, port holes, etc. all line up and work fine.The multi-color is cool looking. They are made of OK plastic and rubber throughout. I'm not docking a star, but the blue/green one I had is getting dirty - I don't mean the typical finger print magnet this phone is in general. The green band is starting to become colored dark/dirty and I've only used it a week. I'm mostly using the black one now, but that's a bad sign as cleaning rubber isn't easy.PSA: People who have given this 1 star seem to think it's a full case. YOU MUST REMOVE THE BACK AND REPLACE IT WITH THIS SHELL. It won't fit otherwise and you'll be unhappy. Please understand what this product is.

Coming from my last phone with an UAG case, I had high expectations for a case for the moto g. This one did not disappoint.Installation was a little tricky getting the tpu lip around the front of the phone, but was far from difficult. Most importantly, the tpu ring helps protect the edges and front of the phone, which was my primary reason for buying it. The soft tpu ring extends a few mm past the screen and keeps the screen from touching when lying face down. The feel is definitely improved - without a case, I definitely had a tough time keeping a solid grip on my moto g, which is no longer the case with the grip shell. It may be more due to the size of the phone than anything, but it doesn't catch on my pocket or pull the lining out either as with silicone cases. The back is smooth as with the original back, which is nice for feel, but marks up easily. As with the factory back, marks usually wipe off with a damp cloth.Overall it has been a great case and is a definite must have for the moto g.

Very happy with the grip shell. It arrived earlier than expected, and was easy to install. Great quality overall with perfect cutouts for the charging port, headphone jack and camera/flash. The case keeps the slim silhouette of the phone since the original back plate is removed prior to putting on the grip shell. The rubber around the edge gives me much more confidence with the phone in the hand from the grip, and has a raised lip to protect the screen. The material on the back is very similar to the original back, making it easy to take in and out of your pocket. But it does show oil from your hands in certain lighting.One very minor disadvantage of this case is the side buttons get covered by the rubber edge and takes away from the tactile feedback of pressing the buttons. However, there are raised outlines of the buttons in the rubber so it's still easy to feel for. It's a very minor disadvantage though and easy to get used to.

I will preface this review with the fact that I hate big, bulky cases.This is perfect for me. The Moto G is pretty slick and with dry hands can be a bit precarious to keep a good hold of when moving around. My real desire for a case/shell was something that would make it to where I can keep a good, solid grasp of the phone while using it and not add much in the way of girth to the phone. This is ideal for me. The rubber along the outside is perfect for me to maintain a stead hold of the phone. Plus, with the rubber just being on the outside, it still slides into my pocket effortlessly. The rubber on the case also protrudes forward just a smidge, to where when you lay the phone face down on a flat surface, the face is not actually touching the surface helping to reduce the chance of scratches. I have had my case for a month or two now and it has held up very well (just like new still). My phone face is scratch free, and (knock on wood) I have never dropped it or almost dropped it while holding it. I highly recommend this case if you need a case to help you hold it and thus prevent drops. I love mine and may need to buy more in other colors.

I've had this case for some time now, lets say 9 months or so. I rate the case only 3 stars because I dropped my phone from 4 feet on to concrete back in October-ish and the screen definitely cracked with the grip shell on. The phone was still usable, but it was VERY disappointing. Message: Buy this phone for the grip, not protection.Pros:The grip is an improvement over the smooth basic shell here in New England especially with gloves and in snow/ice/mix conditions when the elements attack you.Cons:However, in warmer weather the added bulk to the phone adds a second or three to slipping it in and out of your pocket which becomes slightly annoying.Neither here, nor there:I love the Seahawks colors and both colors give the staid all-black device a very vibrant feel.Verdict:My advice, buy both the grip shell and a color regular shell so you can trade-off at whim.

This is a fantastic job form Motorola.Not only does it make the phone look nicer it also provides extra protection. Of course don't expect full protection, as other cases offer, but it will protect the edges of the bezels and also creates a gap between the screen and surfaces if laid upside down.The build quality is excellent and somehow the phone now looks a more expensive device than previously.One thing I would like to note is that the phone slightly loses it's curve which some users might find it changes the feel of holding the phone. Also, it may take some effort to install the case, but a credit card or a business card will come handy.Other than that I am satisfied customer and would recommend this case to anyone having or intending to purchase the phone.

Had this case now for over a year and love it. Looks good always know my phone with nice white back, which fitted on perfectly. Also rubber edging is best bit, as it has protected my phone many times, when I have accidentally let it fall. I have had cases in the past that you have to open like a book. This co we is so much more convenient I think.Would recommend this case.

The black rubber around the sides makes the phone look a bit rubbish. The picture of the rear is the best it will look, when you turn it over, it's like you have a black phone with a white frame. Recommend you look at one in real life before ordering.

Fits the moto g 16gb. High quality, good side bumpers and makes the phone great to hold. much slimmer than buying a separate case as this case replaces the existing backplate rather than fits over it.

Fits easily and looks smart. Gives a more secure hand hold than the original Moto G case. Buttons work fine
