Ron's Utility Pocket Knife 3.0 for Keychain and Carabiner with Magtrak Technology Stainless Steel

I'm a knife collector and recently found myself getting really intrigued by all of these compact utility knife designs. I recently purchased a titanium one similar to this but at 7 times the price. This has a very similar form factor, is still very light even though it is stainless steel, and even has a bottle opener, which my more expensive one does not. The magnet keeps the blade in place, so there is no chance of accidental deployment in the pocket. An added bonus is that the magnet also keeps the blade from rattling when closed. Oh, and they also include a carabiner with the knife which is great for attaching it to a d-ring on a backpack or sling. Once the blade is dulled down, I can just flip it over, then toss it out and replace it with a a new fully sharpened blade at very little cost. This is a well built knife worth every penny.

This is by far the smallest and lightest keychain utility knife which uses a full-size blade that I've seen.It's easy to deploy the blade, easy to use the blade, and easy to retract the blade. It's also easy on the wallet -- amazingly so, considering the quality of design and of manufacturing.My only concern in buying this knife was safety. Any knife I carry in my pocket must have near-zero chance of opening in my pocket accidentally.Having carried this knife on my keychain for the past six months, I'm perfectly comfortable with its safety. The knife uses two independent mechanisms to secure the blade: a strong magnet, and a mechanical latch. In the time I've carried it, the blade has never become exposed in my pocket -- not even once.Please see the attached video for more details.

I found everything about this box knife to be perfect!* I always carried a pocket knife, but grew weary of keeping it sharp. With this knife, I merely change blades when needed. It's always sharp.* I was concerned about the blade opening during pocket carry with other items like keys. That has never occurred because this knife has a super strong neodymium magnet that keeps the blade drawn back.* The four notch blade is wonderful. "Irwin" makes these four notch blades with a ridge allowing you to snap off a little section, making the blade last much longer.* Have you ever had a key with a key ring hole so small that you had trouble hanging it on your key ring? No problem with this knife. It has a wonderfully large hole for that.* For such a perfect knife, the price is unusually low!* I don't have much use for the bottle opener. But it is smooth and does not snag on things in my pocket.

Has stayed with me for months and now all of my coworkers have one as well. Perfect for most small EDC tasks. I carry a full sized pocket knife which handles all of the harder stuff so this is delegated to opening packages and other small precise cuts. I tied a lanyard on mine and now it lives in my coin pocket. I use it every single day. It's easy to swap blades. Easy to open and use.

I really like the concept of this, but it's too bulky to keep on my keychain. There are some simple improvements that would make this much better for every day carry as part of my keychain as highlighted in the photos.Pros:- Locking lever feels secure. I would not be worried having this in my pocket all day- Using standard razor blades is nice- The magnetic attachment can be helpful- Has sort of a fun "fidget-factor" with sliding the bladed up and down in conjunction with the magnet.Cons:- It just feels too bulky- Tolerances could be tighter at the front of the blade so that it cannot move back and forth when locked in the closed position- Bottle opener and giant loop on the end are not necessaryDesign modifications:1. Remove the bulky loop at the end and replace it with a simple lanyard hold on the body2. Tighter tolerances where the front of the blade is held in place since the blade can slide back and forth when in the case, dulling the blade and making an annoying sound.3. Remove teh bulky bottle opener hook at the front. Everything else has a bottle opener, I don't need one here too. That would make the body considerably shorterI would love to see a "mini" version, even if it required cutting a blade in half or buying custom replacement blades. something half as long would be really nice
